This study presents a methodology for optimizing key parameters of a fused deposition modeling (FDM) printer to minimize energy consumption (EC) while exceeding a specified tensile strength (TS) threshold. Employing Design of Experiments (DoE) with Taguchi and Response Surface analysis, we identify influential parameters affecting TS and EC. A Mixed-Integer Nonlinear Multi-Objective Optimization model is then utilized to balance TS and EC, resulting in optimal parameter values.

This study critically reviews the key aspects of nanoparticles and their impact on molten salts (MSs) for thermal energy storage (TES) in concentrated solar power (CSP). It then conducts a comprehensive analysis of MS nanofluids, focusing on identifying the best combinations of salts and nanoparticles to increase the specific heat capacity (SHC) efficiently. Various methods and approaches for the synthesis of these nanofluids are explained.

Thermal processing of all aluminum alloy conductors (AAAC) is an important step that is performed to enhance the electrical and mechanical properties after the drawing process. In these 6xxx alloys, mechanical strength and electrical conductivity are normally two mutually exclusive properties. With the increased demand for high performance power conductors, it is important to understand and control microstructural evolution processes (e.
