Multidimensional internet use related to cognitive performance in older persons: a nationwide cross-sectional study.

Introduction: The internet has been increasingly recognized as a potential driver for enhancing cognitive functioning in older adults; however, the mechanisms underlying this relationship remain insufficiently understood in the literature. This study aimed to investigate the associations between different dimensions of internet use-activity, device, and frequency-and cognitive performance in older adults.

Methods: This cross-sectional study utilized data from the fourth wave of the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS), involving a nationally representative sample of 17,676 participants aged 60 years and above.

Public health impacts of air pollution from the spatiotemporal heterogeneity perspective: 31 provinces and municipalities in China from 2013 to 2020.

Air pollution has long been a significant environmental health issue. Previous studies have employed diverse methodologies to investigate the impacts of air pollution on public health, yet few have thoroughly examined its spatiotemporal heterogeneity. Based on this, this study investigated the spatiotemporal heterogeneity of the impacts of air pollution on public health in 31 provinces in China from 2013 to 2020 based on the theoretical framework of multifactorial health decision-making and combined with the spatial durbin model and the geographically and temporally weighted regression model.

Measurement and characteristics of the temporal-spatial evolution of China's healthcare services efficiency.

Background: Healthcare services efficiency (HSE) is directly related to the healthcare demands of the general public and also plays an essential role in the country's coordinated economic and social development.

Methods: In this study, the stochastic frontier approach (SFA)-Malmquist model was applied to measure the HSE of 31 Chinese provinces based on panel data from 2010-2020. Then, kernel density estimation, Markov chain, and exploratory spatial data analysis were adopted to study the temporal-spatial dynamic evolution characteristics of the HSE.

Analysis of the Efficiency of China's Medical Service Resources under the Background of Hierarchical Medical Policy.

Background: Hierarchical medical system (HMS) is a good policy to promote the fairness of medical services for residents. Given the importance of HMS, it is necessary to know the implementation effect of the policy. Therefore, we aimed to analyze the efficiency of medical service resources in China under the background of hierarchical medical policy.

Traditional Chinese medicine industry is China's strategic emerging industry with great potential for self-innovation. Traditional Chinese medicine industry has successively experienced four stages which are the foundation (laying stage), the core status (establishing stage), the modern system (exploring stage), and the modernization system (constructing stage). Throughout the evolution of the self-innovation in traditional Chinese medicine industry, it presents distinct characteristics which we can explore the beneficial enlightenment.
