New results are presented on a high-statistics measurement of Collins and Sivers asymmetries of charged hadrons produced in deep inelastic scattering of muons on a transversely polarized ^{6}LiD target. The data were taken in 2022 with the COMPASS spectrometer using the 160 GeV muon beam at CERN, statistically balancing the existing data on transversely polarized proton targets. The first results from about two-thirds of the new data have total uncertainties smaller by up to a factor of three compared to the previous deuteron measurements.

Combining the data of both years, we present final results on the amplitudes of five azimuthal modulations, which correspond to transverse-spin-dependent azimuthal asymmetries (TSAs) in the dimuon production cross section. Three of them probe the nucleon leading-twist Sivers, transversity, and pretzelosity transverse-momentum dependent (TMD) parton distribution functions (PDFs).

With a mass too close to and a width smaller than the axial-vector ground state a_{1}(1260), it was immediately interpreted as a new light exotic meson, similar to the X, Y, Z states in the hidden-charm sector. We show that a resonancelike signal fully matching the experimental data is produced by the decay of the a_{1}(1260) resonance into K^{*}(→Kπ)K[over ¯] and subsequent rescattering through a triangle singularity into the coupled f_{0}(980)π channel.

We use the CERN SPS 190 GeV/c π^{-} beam and a transversely polarized ammonia target. Three azimuthal asymmetries giving access to different transverse-momentum-dependent (TMD) parton distribution functions (PDFs) are extracted using dimuon events with invariant mass between 4.

A partial-wave analysis (PWA) was performed in bins of 3π mass and four-momentum transfer using the isobar model and the so far largest PWA model consisting of 88 waves. A narrow peak is observed in the f0(980)π channel with spin, parity and C-parity quantum numbers J(PC)=1(++).

Design: Clinical application.
Setting: University Affiliated, Private IVF center.
A 45-year-old woman received embryos from IVF by intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) with her own oocytes that were cryopreserved (slow freezing in a low-sodium medium) 11 years and 7 and a half months before, when she was 33 years old. From seven metaphase-II oocytes thawed, five survived, four were fertilized after ICSI and two cleaving embryos were transferred on day 3. A diamniotic dichorionic term pregnancy was achieved, ending with the delivery of two healthy girls.

Exchange of quasireal photons is selected by isolating the sharp Coulomb peak observed at smallest momentum transfers, t'<0.001 GeV2/c2.

The aim of the present research was to compare the in vitro production of Lama glama embryos using two techniques: in vitro fertilization (IVF) and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). For IVF technique, we compared the effect of adding or not, heparin, penicillamine and hypotaurine as sperm capacitating agents.

A young infertile couple underwent IVF treatment in the clinic. After several IVF attempts, two births resulted; the first one with fresh embryos in 1996 after three IVF cycles, and the second one in 1999 (after a new IVF cycle in 1998) with frozen blastocysts that had remained cryopreserved in 1.

The approach most used is transcervical intrauterine transfer. This is described in detail, together with the many variables influencing success, e.

Acquired and inherited thrombophilia are associated with recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL). Antithrombotic therapy could restore hemostatic balance and improve early placentation and gestational outcome. We evaluated the efficacy of enoxaparin adapted to the fertility program for prevention of pregnancy loss in 35 women (W) with early RPL and thrombophilia.

In all five cases, oocyte retrieval was achieved after injecting HCG, when necessary, and reprogramming aspiration 24-36 h later. A mean of 7+/-3.

In a first attempt performed with fresh biopsy material, the woman became pregnant, but the pregnancy ended in a spontaneous abortion. In a second cycle, the spermatozoa were retrieved from a cryopreserved sample saved from the first attempt.

PBMNC from healthy controls or IDDM patients in different stages of disease were injected into athymic mice. PBMNC from newly diagnosed IDDM children elicited basal nonfasting hyperglycemia and in vitro inhibition of the first and second phases of glucose-stimulated insulin secretion in recipient mice.

Cells in culture revealed a single binding component with an apparent dissociation constant (KD) at 37 degrees C of 11 nM and a binding capacity of 326 fmol/mg protein when measured with [3H]-R1881. Competition analysis revealed an atypical relaxation of specificity, since not only androgen (testosterone, dihydrotestosterone [DHT], R1881) and antiandrogen (hydroxy-flutamide [OH-FLU]) competed for [3H]-R1881 binding, but also estradiol, progesterone, and cortisol at 500-fold excess concentration.
