Previous investigations have shown that high glucose can promote breast cancer progression. However, the relationship between high glucose microenvironment and triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) remains to be explored. In this study, we performed RNA-seq to explore the effect of short-term high glucose and long-term high glucose on MDA-MB-231 cell line.

The purpose of this study was to revise the Taiwanese version of the Fertility Intention Scale and validate its psychometric properties among young women with breast cancer in Chinese Mainland.
Methods: We performed a cross-sectional survey with young women with breast cancer at a Chinese cancer hospital to evaluate the psychometric properties of the Revised Fertility Intention Scale.
To improve the performance of lipase in biosynthesis of benzyl cinnamate, a new immobilized lipase by entrapping enzyme into nano-molecular cages was designed. Consequently, the entrapped lipase showed a robust immobilization, which diminished the leakage of lipase notably in use. Moreover, the entrapped lipase exhibited higher activity (57.

However, the molecular mechanism implicated in this disparity have not been elaborated. In this study, expression profiles of female breast cancer (BRCA) associated mRNAs, lncRNAs and miRNAs were downloaded from the TCGA database.

Here, PEI@PMMA microspheres were prepared by grafting polyethyleneimine (PEI) on poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) magnetic microspheres and successfully used to immobilize lipase. The results showed that PEI@PMMA microspheres had strongly adsorbed lipase (49.1 mg/g microsphere) via electrostatic attraction.

Background: In our previous study, we have isolated a new compound, named Fumosorinone (FU) from insect pathogenic fungi, and was found to inhibit proliferation, migration, and invasion of breast cancer MDA-MB-231 cells.
Objective: The aim of this study was to identify the underlying molecular mechanisms for FU effects on MDAMB- 231 cells.
Methods: After MDA-MB-231 cells were treated with FU for 48h, RNA sequencing was used to identify the effect of FU on the transcriptome of MDA-MB-231 cells.
Background: Accumulating evidence supports the hypothesis that cancer stem cells (CSCs) are essential for cancer initiation, metastasis and drug resistance. However, the functional association of gastric CSC markers with stemness and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) signature genes is unclear.
Methods: qPCR was performed to measure the expression profiles of stemness and EMT signature genes and their association with putative CSC markers in gastric cancer tissues, cancer cell lines and sphere cells.
Background: Metformin is a first-line drug for treating type 2 diabetes mellitus, yet its mechanism remains only partially understood and controversial. In this study we assessed a global gene expression profiling in liver of KKAy mice affected by metformin. This study aimed to identify the novel anti-diabetic mechanisms of metformin.

The optimal formulation consisted of Polyethoxylated 40 hydrogenated castor oil (Cremophor RH40), Poloxamer 188, and Polyethylene glycol 4000 (PEG 4000). Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) were used to verify the forming of Cur-DPs.

However, the expression level and the role of PTP1B in the development and prognosis of colorectal cancer (CRC) remain unclear. In this study, the expression of PTP1B in CRC tissues and matched noncancerous tissues were detected by using immunohistochemistry, real-time PCR and Western blotting.

Objective: To test the Piezoelectric property of novel biological piezoelectric ceramic HALNK and its effect on the proliferation and differentiation of rat osteoblast cells.
Methods: The biological piezoelectric ceramic HALNK1/9 and HALNK5/5 were prepared by mixing Hydroxyapatite (HA) with lithium sodium potassium niobate (LNK) piezoelectric ceramic at a ratio of 1/9 and 5/5 (wt/wt), respectively. After poling treatment, the piezoelectric constants were measured.
