Aims: To characterise carbapenemase-producing Enterobacteriaceae (CRE) isolated in Singapore.
Methods: Carbapenemase genes and their flanking regions were amplified and sequenced by PCR. Isolates were typed by pulsed-field gel electrophoresis and multi-locus sequence typing.
