The morphology of Trichoderma reesei Rut C-30, during submerged cultivations in shake flask, was examined. The influence of the size inoculum and the composition of the fermentation medium on the morphology and cellulase production was studied. Different inoculum sizes were studied but the significative change in fungus morphology was observed for spores concentration between 10(5) and 10(7) spores/ml (i.

The purification procedure for the Trichoderma reesei cellulase complex consists of gel permeation chromatography on Sephadex G-25M followed by an ultrafiltration step. The concentrated enzyme solution was then fractionated on Sepharose CL-6B modified by covalent immobilization of 1,4-butanediol diglycidyl ether.

Flow microcalorimetry has been used to determine the heat of adsorption under overloaded chromatographic conditions. These data have been complemented with capacity factor and isotherm measurements to provide insight on the mechanisms of adsorption.

The influence of mobile phase composition on the adsorption of lipase on the gel was studied and it was found that the retention of lipase depends on the salt used and increased with increasing the ionic strength. The retention was not strongly affected by changing the pH value of the mobile phase.

The influence of the mobile phase composition on the chromatographic behaviour of Chromobacterium viscosum lipase was studied and it was found that the retention of lipase depends on the salt used and increased with ionic strength. Using 20% (w/v) ammonium sulphate in the eluent, a total retention of lipase on the column was obtained.

Determination of the specific metabolic rates relative to substrates and products allowed the capacity of the yeast to metabolize malic acid under both oxidative metabolism (carbon limited cultures) and oxidofermentative metabolism (carbon sufficient cultures) situations to be characterized. Under carbon limiting conditions, the specific rate of malate utilization was dependent on the residual concentration and a limit for a purely oxidative breakdown without ethanol formation was observed for a characteristic ratio between the rates of substrate consumption qM/qG of 1.

But La Volonté de Savoir develops a new idea about the modern sexuality inclination; Surveiller et Punir is a real political economy of the human body; and Foucault's last two books on antiquity give us a new point of view as regards the relations of subject to desire. This combined analysis constitutes a coherent structure of proposals that helps to enlighten crucial matters relevant to the gay community, particularly when it deals with what sexual "freedom and sexual identity mean.

Immediately after an intravenous injection of ICG, a 790-nm chromophore, 810-nm semiconductor diode laser was used to irradiate Greene hamster melanomas that had been implanted in the iris of rabbits. ICG-enhanced laser treatment of melanoma (14 eyes) was compared with treatment by laser alone (4 eyes), ICG alone (1 eye), and no treatment (2 eyes).

These compounds are being increasingly used as an intraoperative tool for repair of complicated retinal detachments. A potential complication of their use, however, is liquid entering the anterior chamber in aphakic patients.

This study examines the effects of photodynamic therapy using chloroaluminum sulfonated phthalocyanine on Greene hamster melanoma transplanted into the subchoroidal space in rabbits. Twenty-four hours after intravenous administration of chloroaluminum sulfonated phthalocyanine (5 mg/kg), tumors were irradiated with 675 nm of light at total light doses of 7 to 60 J/cm2.

These compounds are being increasingly used as an intraoperative tool for repair of complicated retinal detachments. A known complication of their use, however, is liquid entering the subretinal space via a retinal break.
