To identify whether the iron (Fe) mining area in the Jiulongjiang River basin (JRB) has an influence on the mercury in the forest soil, the spatial distribution patterns of mercury's behavior on different controlling factors were analyzed, and a potential ecological risk assessment was done. A total of 107 soil samples were collected from two forest soil profiles, one profile near the Fe mining area and the other far from it. The soil near the mining area had a moderate potential ecological risk with high Fe content rich in the upper layer of soil (<70 cm), whereas soil collected far from the mining area had a low potential ecological risk.

Hence, there is currently an urgent requirement for the discovery of a new AHAS inhibitor to effectively control AHAS herbicide-resistant weed species produced by target mutation.
Results: To combat weed resistance caused by AHAS with P197L mutation, we built a structure library consisting of pyrimidinyl-salicylic acid derivatives.
Objectives: Alveolar bone osteoporosis has attracted more and more attention because of its profound impact on stomatognathic function and treatment, but current treatments have not been targeted to alveolar bone and might even cause severe side effects. We overcome this barrier by imitating a peanut leaf and designing a humidity-responsive MIL-100 (Fe)/octadecylamine-coated stainless steel mesh (HR-MOS). Background: Previous work demonstrated that there are numerous miRNAs in human follicular fluids, some of which are associated with reproductive diseases. In the current study, we sought to determine whether microRNAs (miRNAs) in the follicular fluid (FF) are differentially expressed between women with and without endometriosis and to uncover the association of miRNAs with the oocyte and embryonic development potential.
Methods: FF was harvested from 30 women with endometriosis and 30 women without who underwent in vitro fertilization treatment at the University Hospital between February and December 2016.
Bisphenol A (BPA) and tetrabromobisphenol A (TBBPA), endocrine disrupting compounds (EDCs), are of increasing concerns for many years. This paper presents the elimination of BPA under visible light (VL) (λ ≥ 420 nm) irradiated solutions containing fulvic acid (FA) and MnSO (Mn(II)), and examines the possible effects of TBBPA on the transformation of BPA. After 72 h of reaction time, the removal efficiency of BPA in the studied system was 69%.

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate and discuss whether the transareola endoscopic surgery has similar outcome outcomes to open surgery in the treatment of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC).
Method: A total of 102 patients with PTC were enrolled in this study. Among them, 53 patients were treated by transareola endoscopic surgery (endoscopic group) and 49 patients were treated by open surgery (open group).
In this study, the inline coagulation was combined with ultrafiltration and nanofiltration (UF-NF) in a pilot study for Tai Lake water treatment. The results showed that the combination process was very effective for Tai Lake water treatment in terms of organic removal and membrane fouling control. With inline coagulation, no irreversible membrane fouling was observed for either UF or NF at fluxes of 65-90 and 22-26 L/(m hr), respectively.

For TiO support, sulfate species selectively occupied its surface basic hydroxyl groups, while Si-OH groups functioned as the main sites for the accommodation of NHHSO over the TiO-SiO mixed support, enabling its surface sulfate species with higher thermal stability. Compared with NH on the TiO surface, NH on the TiO-SiO mixed support was much easier to be consumed during the heating process, hence causing some variations in the decomposition behavior of NHHSO.
