Colorectal cancer (CRC) remains a major global health challenge, with high rates of incidence and mortality. This study investigates the role of protein arginine methyltransferase 6 (PRMT6) as an oncogene in CRC and its mechanistic involvement in tumor progression. We found that PRMT6 is significantly overexpressed in CRC tissues compared to adjacent normal tissues and is associated with poorer patient survival.

Objective: The aim of this study was to systematically review the effectiveness of digital interventions on SSE-related practices in melanoma survivors.
The latest developments combining deep learning technology and medical image data have attracted wide attention and provide efficient noninvasive methods for the early diagnosis of breast cancer. The success of this task often depends on a large amount of data annotated by medical experts, which is time-consuming and may not always be feasible in the biomedical field. The lack of interpretability has greatly hindered the application of deep learning in the medical field.

Thus, there is a pressing need to develop alternative treatment regimens to target BRCA-mutated TNBC tumors that are resistant to PARP inhibition. Similar to PARP, poly(ADP-ribose) glycohydrolase (PARG) plays a role in DNA replication and repair.

To analyze the related influencing factors of epistaxis in extremely high altitude area, and to provide evidence for the prevention and treatment of epistaxis in extremely high altitude area. From January 2021 to December 2022, 206 outpatients with epistaxis, 54 inpatients with epistaxis and 69 inpatients withoutepistaxis in theDepartment of Otorhinolarygology, Naqu People's Hospital were collected. The previous history, drinking history, smoking history, serum homocysteine(Hcy), white blood cell count(WBC), red blood cell count(RBC), hematocrit(HCT), hemoglobin(HGB) and mean hemoglobin concentration(MCHC) were compared between inpatients with or without epistaxis.

In this study, we employed single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) to investigate the immune landscape of GC liver metastasis, revealing several immuno-suppressive components within the tumor immune microenvironment (TIM). Our findings unveiled an increased presence of cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs), myeloid-derived suppressor cell (MDSC)-like macrophages, tumor-associated macrophage (TAM)-like macrophages, and naive T cells, while conventional dendritic cells (cDCs) and effector CD8 T cells declined in LM.

Given the emotional and behavioral impairments linked to closed head injury, it is vital to uncover brain functional deficits and their driving mechanisms. In this study, we employed a robust viral tracing technique to identify the alteration of the neural pathway connecting the medial prefrontal cortex to the basolateral amygdala, and we observed the disruptions in neuronal projections between the medial prefrontal cortex and the basolateral amygdala following closed head injury.

This study develops and validates a deep learning (DL) prediction model to distinguish between proliferative and non-proliferative HCCs using dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI (DCE-MRI), aiming to refine preoperative assessments and optimize treatment strategies by assessing early recurrence risk.
Materials And Methods: In this retrospective study, 355 HCC patients from two Chinese medical centers (April 2018-February 2023) who underwent radical resection were included.
With the rapid development of the livestock industry, finding new sources of feed has become a critical issue that needs to be addressed urgently. China is one of the top five sunflower producers in the world and generates a massive amount of sunflower stalks annually, yet this resource has not been effectively utilized. Therefore, in order to tap into the potential of sunflower stalks for animal feed, it is essential to explore and develop efficient methods for their utilization.

Our previous studies found that prenatal caffeine exposure (PCE) can inhibit adrenal steroidogenesis in offspring, but whether the mechanism is related to local imbalance of cholesterol metabolism remains unknown. Here, we found that PCE inhibited adrenal steroidogenesis and increased the expression of cell pyroptosis and inflammatory-related indicators (NLRP3, caspase-1 and IL-1β) in female adult offspring rats, and at the same time, the cholesterol levels in serum and adrenal gland also significantly increased.

Methods: This prospective, observational study enrolled patients undergoing surgical treatment for nasal septum deviation. After general anaesthesia, a novel nasal scraping spoon was used to collect epithelial cells from the mid-part of the inferior turbinate.
Objective: To investigate the correlation between CT imaging features and pathological subtypes of pulmonary nodules and construct a prediction model using deep learning.
Methods: We collected information of patients with pulmonary nodules treated by surgery and the reference standard for diagnosis was post-operative pathology. After using elastic distortion for data augmentation, the CT images were divided into a training set, a validation set and a test set in a ratio of 6:2:2.
A multi-exposure imaging approach proposed in earlier studies is used to increase star sensors' attitude update rate by times. Unfortunately, serious noises are also introduced in the star image due to multiple exposures. Therefore, a star centroid extraction method based on Kalman Filter is proposed in this paper.

In this study, an electrochemiluminescence (ECL) immunosensing platform was constructed by enhancing the ECL signal through in situ growth of platinum nanoparticles (PtNPs) in a nanochannel array, which can achieve highly sensitive detection of the tumor marker carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA). An inexpensive and readily available indium tin oxide (ITO) glass electrode was used as the supporting electrode, and a layer of amino-functionalized vertically ordered mesoporous silica film (NH-VMSF) was grown on its surface using an electrochemically assisted self-assembly method (EASA).

Background: Trans-stenotic pressure gradient (TPG) measurement is essential for idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) patients with transverse sinus (TS) stenosis. Four-D flow MRI may provide a noninvasive imaging method for differentiation of IIH patients with different TPG.
Purpose: To investigate the associations between 4D flow parameters and TPG, and to evaluate the diagnostic performance of 4D flow parameters in differentiating patients with high TPG (Group) from low TPG (Group).
Background: In this study, we analyzed the characteristics of different stenosis types in idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) patients with venous sinus stenosis (VSS) using intravascular ultrasound (IVUS).
Methods: We retrospectively reviewed data from patients who underwent IVUS evaluation during venography or stenting procedures between January 2014 and February 2022.
Results: Among the 80 patients with intrinsic lesions, 47 cases were identified, including 41 single lesions and 6 multiple lesions.
Background: Perforating artery territorial infarction (PAI) caused by branch atheromatous disease (BAD) is prone to recurrence and early progression without an effective and well-documented antiplatelet treatment regimen. Tirofiban, an adjunctive antiplatelet agent, has shown great potential to treat acute ischaemic stroke. However, whether the combination of tirofiban and aspirin can improve the prognosis of PAI remains unclear.
