Purpose: Malignant biliary obstruction (MBO) is common in patients with advanced malignant tumors, leading to poor prognosis and hindering antitumor therapy. The purpose of our study was to assess the survival outcomes for patients under therapy after percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage (PTBD) and identify prognostic factors associated with survival in patients with MBO.
Methods: From July 2010 to February 2021, 269 patients with MBO secondary to malignant tumor were divided into two groups (functional success and non-functional success).
