Intrahepatic lymphoepithelioma-like cholangiocarcinoma (LELCC) is a very rare malignant tumor arising from the biliary epithelium. To date, there has been a lack of evidence on the radiographical features, clinicopathological features, and treatment modalities of LELCC, with less than 28 cases of LELCC without Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection having been reported worldwide. The treatment of LELCC remains unexplored.

Article Synopsis
  • Patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) often experience cognitive impairment and changes in brain structure, which can be assessed using MRI to evaluate brain atrophy and lesions.
  • A study involving 136 participants (including healthy controls and various groups with T2DM) found that those with T2DM and cognitive impairment had significantly greater brain atrophy and lesion index scores compared to healthy individuals.
  • The results indicate that specific brain lesions may serve as potential diagnostic markers for cognitive impairment in T2DM patients, highlighting the importance of MRI in clinical evaluations.

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) on perioperative outcomes, with an emphasis on patient-reported outcomes (PROs) and functional recovery. We compared the clinical outcomes in a cohort of 275 patients undergoing liver resection before and after the implementation of ERAS. The PROs were preoperatively and postoperatively compared until 14 days after surgery using the MD Anderson Symptom Inventory.

Flowering transition is regulated by complex genetic networks in response to endogenous and environmental signals. Pre-mRNA splicing is an essential step for the post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression. Alternative splicing of key flowering genes has been investigated in detail over the past decade.
