In this paper, we describe a novel label-free fluorescence method for microRNA-21 (miR-21) detection based on terbium (Tb(3+)) and duplex-specific nuclease (DSN) assisted target recycling. Capture probes (Cps), containing a target-binding part and a signal-output part, are immobilized on magnetic beads (MBs). In the presence of the target miR-21, it hybridizes with the target-binding part of a Cp to form a DNA-RNA heteroduplex.

Objective: To understand the clinical characteristics of tsutsugamushi disease in Suqian Municipality, Jiangsu Province so as to guide the diagnosis and treatment of this disease.
Methods: The clinical data of 32 patients diagnosed as tsutsugamushi disease in our hospital during the past 2 years were analyzed retrospectively.
Results: Tsutsugamushi disease occurred frequently between August and December.
Selenite uptake by rice roots is regulated by many factors. The goal of this paper was to study the effects of the nitrate supply site on selenite uptake by rice roots. Using the excised-root experiment system, we found that, due to anion-anion interactions, nitrate can partly block the selenite uptake by rice roots by local action (a corporate supply of nitrate and selenite in the same portion).
