Purpose: Kuiyangling is a traditional Chinese medicine formula used for the treatment of ulcerative colitis, but the specific mechanism remains unclear. Imbalance in NETs regulation is one of the important factors contributing to the onset of ulcerative colitis (UC). The HuR/VDR signaling pathway plays a significant role in restoring the intestinal mucosal barrier in UC.

Low-energy electron beam exposure techniques offer advantages in 3D manufacturing; however, they have received limited attention in traditional processes due to precision limitations and insufficient exposure, leading to an underestimation of their potential. In this article, we introduce a nanofabrication strategy using low-energy electrons in ice-assisted electron-beam lithography (iEBL) alleviating the compatibility issue between resolution and quasi-3D manufacturing.

Current approaches require time-consuming bacterial isolation and enrichment procedures, delaying stratified treatment. Here, we describe a biomarker-based strategy that utilises bacterial small molecular metabolites and lipids for direct detection of bacteria in complex samples using mass spectrometry (MS).

The establishment of reliable and efficient systems for genome editing in Phytophthora is very important for studying gene functions. Here, step-by-step methods for CRISPR/Cas9-based gene knockout and in situ complementation for Phytophthora sojae are presented. These steps include the sgRNA design, Cas9-sgRNA plasmid construction, homologous replacement, complementation vector construction, P.

The markers studied include neutrophils/lymphocyte ratio (NLR), aggregate index of systemic inflammation (AISI), systemic immune-inflammation index (SII), systemic inflammation response index (SIRI), lymphocytes/high-density lipoprotein (HDL) ratio (LHR), monocytes/HDL ratio (MHR), neutrophils/HDL ratio (NHR), and platelets/HDL ratio (PHR).
Methods: We conducted a retrospective observational study involving 335 individuals with SCZ, 68 with BD, 202 with D, and 282 healthy controls (C) to evaluate hematologic parameters from untreated patients and controls.

Atherosclerosis and its associated cardio-cerebrovascular complications remain the leading causes of mortality worldwide. Current lipid-lowering therapies reduce only approximately one-third of the cardiovascular risk. Furthermore, vascular restenosis and thrombotic events following surgical interventions for severe vascular stenosis significantly contribute to treatment failure.

Plasmon-enhanced electronic Raman scattering and the radiation channels of metallic photoluminescence (PL) involving conventional carrier recombinations and emergent particle plasmons are proposed in the past few decades but largely limited to weak excitation regimes. Here, we systematically examine the PL evolution of plasmonic NPs under different excitation power levels.

Traditional cooling methods increase cost and complexity, severely limiting versatility. Here, monolithic silicon carbide (SiC) metalens is introduced, which shows unparalleled thermal stability, integrated with a high-power laser.

Our previous study revealed that subacute rumen acidosis (SARA)-associated mastitis has distinct metabolic profiles in the rumen, especially a significant increase in succinate, but the role of succinate in the pathogenesis of mastitis remains unclear.
Results: Succinate treatment exacerbates low-grade endotoxemia-induced mastitis in mice.
Stimulated emission depletion (STED) microscopy has attracted great research attention due to its applications to breaking diffraction limits for imaging and lithography. However, its implementation based on single-mode fibers often encounters challenges such as complex structural integration, costly fabrication processes, and the need for specific fiber designs. Herein, a low-cost bi-order Bessel beam based on one single-mode fiber integrated with a structurally simple wavelength-scale microstructure (WSM) on fiber end was proposed for STED system.

However, this approach is associated with complications such as intraoperative dural sac tears, nerve root injuries, and postoperative epidural hematomas. In response to these challenges, we propose a novel technique utilizing uniaxial spinal endoscope to replace arthroscope-Unilateral Bi/Multi-Portal Endoscopy (UME).

Case: A 58 year-old man with metastatic non-myofibroblastic sarcoma was found to have an EML4-ALK fusion on molecular sequencing. After progression on first line systemic therapy with doxorubicin, the patient received alectinib, a second generation ALK inhibitor, and had a marked clinical and radiological response.
Actuation of micro-objects along unconstrained trajectories in van der Waals contacting systems-in the same capacity as optical tweezers to manipulate particles in fluidic environments-remains a formidable challenge due to the lack of effective methods to overcome and exploit surface friction. Herein, a technique that aims to resolve this difficulty is proposed. This study shows that, by utilizing a moderate power beam of light, micro-objects adhered on planar solid substrates can be precisely guided to move in arbitrary directions, realizing sub-nanometer resolution across extended surfaces.

Exosomes belong to a subgroup of extracellular vesicles secreted by various cells and are involved in intercellular communication and material transfer. In recent years, exosomes have been used as drug delivery carriers because of their natural origin, high stability, low immunogenicity and high engineering ability. However, achieving targeted drug delivery with exosomes remains challenging.

Objective: Using functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) previous studies have found that activation differences in the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) during an autobiographical memory task (AMT) under the condition of different emotional valences may be neurophysiological markers of depression and different depression subtypes. Additionally, compared with non-anxious depression, anxious depression presents abnormal hemodynamic activation in the DLPFC. This study aimed to use fNIRS to investigate hemodynamic activation in the DLPFC of depression patients with and without anxiety during AMT triggered by different emotional valence stimuli.
