Pharmacists perspectives on challenges and facilitators in initiating medications take-back program in Indonesia: A qualitative study.

Objective: The establishment of a medication take-back program is an important intervention to prevent the improper disposal of expired or unused household medications. However, such a program has not been established in Indonesia. A significant step in establishing the program is to gain a better understanding of pharmacists' perspectives on the associated challenges and facilitators.

Evaluation of usability and user feedback to guide telepharmacy application development in Indonesia: a mixed-methods study.

Background: In Indonesia, the adoption of telepharmacy was propelled by the COVID-19 pandemic, prompting the need for a user-friendly application to support both the general population and pharmacists in accessing healthcare services. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate usability and user feedback of a pioneering telepharmacy application known as Tanya Obat (translating to "Ask about Medications") in Indonesia, from the perspectives of the general population and pharmacists.

Methods: A mixed-methods sequential study was conducted with the early-stage Tanya Obat application in Bandung City.

Do pharmacists counsel customers on the disposal of unused or expired household medications? A national survey among 1,596 pharmacists in Indonesia.

Introduction: Pharmacists play a vital role in counseling customers on proper medication disposal, yet their consistency in providing such information is often lacking. This study aimed to assess pharmacists' awareness of appropriate disposal practices for unused and expired household medications. Additional objectives included evaluating whether pharmacists offer disposal information during counseling, measuring their willingness to receive medication waste from the public, and identifying associated factors.

Knowledge, perception, and willingness to provide telepharmacy services among pharmacy students: a multicenter cross-sectional study in Indonesia.

Introduction: The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic accelerated the provision of telepharmacy services. However, little is known about the knowledge, perception, and willingness of pharmacy students as future key players in telepharmacy adoption to provide such a service, particularly in a setting without well-established telepharmacy services before the COVID-19 pandemic.

Globally, self-reported instruments are the most widely used method to assess medication adherence. However, the majority of these were developed in high-income countries (HICs) with a well-established health care system.

Introduction: Low awareness of the necessity of taking medication is common among patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) due to their lack of understanding of the disease. Therefore, identifying its underlying factors is essential for developing effective intervention strategies. This study aims to identify the modifiable and non-modifiable factors associated with low awareness about hypertension treatment.
