A Nanosized Gly-Decorated Praseodymium-Stabilized Selenotungstate Cluster: Synthesis, Structure, and Oxidation Catalysis.

A flexible one-pot strategy with pyramidal Se heteroatoms was employed for the assembly of the praseodymium-containing gly-decorated polyoxotungstate [{Pr (H O) [Se W O (gly) ]} (Se W O H )] (1 a), which is constructed from one {Se W O H } unit and two identical {Pr (H O) [Se W O (gly) ]} units. Furthermore, the catalytic performance of Cs Na H [{Pr (H O) [Se W O (gly) ]} (Se W O H )]⋅25 H O (1) for alkene epoxidation with hydrogen peroxide was investigated under mild reaction conditions, and the experimental results suggested that compound 1 exhibits good catalytic performance for the epoxidation of cyclooctene.

An unprecedented silicotungstate trimer K(9)[H(14){SiW(10)Mn(II)Mn(III)O(38)}(3)(CO(3))]·39H(2)O (1) has been successfully synthesized, in which the CO(3)(2-) resides inside the three Keggin {SiW(10)Mn(II)Mn(III)O(38)} units and the three O atoms serve as μ(2)-O atoms to connect with three Mn(III). Magnetic investigation indicates that 1 exhibits antiferromagnetic coupling.
