Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to examine the estrogenic effects of para-nonylphenol (p-NP) on immature SD rats and understand the mechanisms involved in its action.
  • Rats were given different doses of p-NP and estradiol benzoate (E2B) to assess their impact on uterine weight and cell signaling indicators through immunohistochemistry.
  • Results showed that p-NP increased uterine weight and the expression of progesterone and estrogen receptors, indicating that these markers may be more sensitive than just measuring uterine weight in determining estrogenic activity.
