Chromosome location and association of haplotypes of insulin-like growth factor binding protein-2 with production performance in swine.

Insulin-like growth factor binding protein-2 is a member of the insulin-like growth factor families. Using a porcine RH panel, the gene was mapped on chromosome 15q22-23. Meanwhile, using polymerase chain reaction single strand conformation polymorphism, genotypic and allelic frequencies were analyzed in 17 pig breeds (total animals 570), together with a chi-square test of Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium.

[Effect of 32P irradiation on cell cycle of HL-60 cells].

Objective: To investigate the effect of (32)P irradiation on the cell cycle of HL-60 cells.

Methods: Flow cytometry was employed to detect cell cycle changes of HL-60 cells induced by (32)P irradiation at different doses for varied time lengths (24, 28 and 72 h, respectively).

Result: (32)P could induce cell cycle arrest in S and G(2)/M phases, and the arrest occurred initially in G(2)/M phase.
