Postpartum hypertension including persistent and recurrent hypertension could significantly affect maternal morbidity in preeclampsia. Data on the postpartum management of women with preeclampsia is limited. The objective of this study was to investigate the details of women experiencing persistent postpartum hypertension (PerPPH) or developing recurrent postpartum hypertension (RecPPH) after birth and whether the treatment with anti-hypertensive drugs could shorten the hospital stay.

Results: After four rounds of whole-cell subtraction biopanning, the phage recovery was 21-fold higher (from 3.9 × 10 to 8.
Objective: preterm birth is a major cause of perinatal mortality and common cause of death in children under five years old. Although the indications for preterm birth are not fully understood, the preterm birth rate is around 11% worldwide dependent on the regions. China was cited as having a high death rate of children under five years old and one of the leading causes is preterm birth.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFTargeting peptide has been considered to be useful as a small molecule probe leading to multifunctional properties for both imaging detection and targeting therapy. Thus, the identification of novel targets is urgently needed to develop innovative agents to effectively control gastric cancer metastasis and progression. Previously, we reported a novel 12-mer peptide, GP-5 (IHKDKNAPSLVP), binding to gastric carcinoma (GC) cells specifically and sensitively, and it was screened by using a phage displayed peptide library and primarily analyzed.

Objectives: Cesarean delivery rates have increased remarkably worldwide. The indications for this increase are not fully understood and there may be regional, ethnic or health system differences in quoted indications which may explain, at least in part, the observed changes. In 2008 China was cited as having one of the highest rates of cesarean delivery in the world, but there was no accurate information about the indications for the high rate.
