Drought stress can severely affect sugarcane growth and yield. The objective of this research was to identify candidate genes in sugarcane tillering seedlings in response to drought stress. We performed a comparative phenotypic, physiological and transcriptomic analysis of tiller seedlings of drought-stressed and well-watered "Guire 2" sugarcane, in a time-course experiment (5 days, 9 days and 15 days).

Clean development mechanism (CDM) is an important principle in CO emissions mitigation since it was proposed. However, there will be a long way for the large-scale application of CDM in China, for thermal power is still in the dominant position, while renewable power is far from being competitive. In this study, a mix integer bi-level hierarchical programming model (MIBLHP) is developed to investigate the potential impact of the CDM application on the regional energy-water-carbon nexus optimization in electric power system in China.

Overexpression of SoSnRK2.1 improved drought tolerance and growth of tobacco plants. Sucrose non-fermenting1-related protein kinase 2 (SnRK2) is a key enzyme in regulating ABA signal transduction in plants, and it plays a significant role in response to multiple abiotic stresses.
