Bio-Based Epoxy-Phthalonitrile Resin: Preparation, Characterization, and Properties.

Preparation of high-performance thermosetting resins via bio-based resources is important for the development of a sustainable world. In this work, we proposed the introduction of cyanide structure groups into the molecular structure of epoxy resins to give them excellent heat resistance. A eugenol-based epoxy-phthalonitrile (EEPN) resin was synthesized by a two-step process using the bio-based renewable resource of eugenol, and a series of EEPN/Epoxide resin (E51) blend resins with different EEPN contents were prepared.

Endobronchial metastasis secondary to renal clear cell carcinoma: A case report.

Background: Endobronchial metastases (EBMs) are tumours that metastasise from a malignant tumour outside the lungs to the central and subsegmental bronchi, and are visible under a bronchofibrescope. Most EBMs are formed by direct invasion or metastasis of intrathoracic malignant tumours, such as lung cancer, oesophageal cancer or mediastinum tumours. Renal cell carcinoma (RCC), accounting for 2% to 3% of all tumours, is a common malignant tumour of the urinary system.

An Improved Particle Filtering Algorithm Using Different Correlation Coefficients for Nonlinear System State Estimation.

Particle filtering (PF) algorithm has found an increasingly wide utilization in many fields at present, especially in nonlinear and non-Gaussian situations. Because of the particle degeneracy limitation, various resampling methods have been researched. This article proposed an improved PF algorithm combining with different rank correlation coefficients to overcome the shortcomings of degeneracy.

Biomechanical analysis between Orthofix® external fixator and different K-wire configurations for pediatric supracondylar humerus fractures.

Background: Closed reduction and percutaneous fixation are considered as the optional treatments for displaced supracondylar humerus fractures. However, there was no published report about the biomechanical analysis in Orthofix® external fixator. In this study, we developed a model of supracondylar humerus fractures and compared the biomechanical analysis of external fixator and different K-wires configurations in order to evaluate the stability of external fixator in supracondylar humerus fractures.
