Background: Radiotherapy, as the main treatment method for nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), has evolved over time, but there has been no bibliometric study on NPC radiotherapy to date. In our study, the scientific achievements of NPC radiotherapy around the world were evaluated by bibliometric analyses, and the previous research hotspots and future trends are described.
Methods: Original articles related to NPC radiotherapy were obtained from the Web of Science Core Collection.
Objective: Gastric precancerous lesions (GPL), characterized by intestinal metaplasia and dysplasia, marks a pivotal juncture in the transformation from gastritis to gastric cancer. Research on GPL could offer fresh perspectives on preventing cancer occurrence.
Methods: This study employed 1-methyl-3-nitro-1-nitrosoguanidine (MNNG) to establish GPL rat models and knocked BRD4 down in vivo to assess its impact on the lesions and macrophage morphology.
Background: Our previous study suggests that tumor CD8+ T cells and macrophages (defined as CD68+ cells) infiltration underwent dynamic and heterogeneous changes during concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT) in cervical cancer patients, which correlated with their short-term tumor response. This study aims to develop a CT image-based radiomics signature for such dynamic changes.
Methods: Thirty cervical squamous cell carcinoma patients, who were treated with CCRT followed by brachytherapy, were included in this study.
Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) is an aggressive and fatal disease that is usually diagnosed when the chances for surgical intervention has been missed. Definitive concurrent chemoradiotherapy (dCRT) is the first choice of treatment for inoperable locally advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (LA-ESCC). Experimental Design: Tumor biopsies and peripheral mononuclear blood cells (PMBC) before and immediately after 20 Gy/10 fractions (F) of radiation treatment (RT) from 30 patients with cervical cancer receiving CCRT were evaluated by IHC and qRT-PCR for immune markers and correlated with the short-term response.
Results: Tumor immune response to radiation before and after 10F RT as reflected by CD8 T-cell infiltration had substantial heterogeneity with increases, decreases, and no change all evident.
