Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are promising electrochemiluminescent (ECL) nanoemitters. Great endeavors have been made to optimize the inherent luminescent properties, yet most MOFs suffer from poor coreactant activation ability, resulting in limited ECL. Therefore, it is urgent to integrate and design efficient catalytic centers within MOFs.

Background: Both frailty and age-related macular degeneration (AMD) are related to aging and may share some common mechanisms. We aimed to examine the observational and causal association between frailty and the risk of age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
Methods: We included 320,810 participants free of AMD at baseline from the UK Biobank.
2D materials are promising candidates for beyond-Si electronic devices. However, their stability is a key bottleneck in their industrial applications. The instability of 2D materials is mainly attributed to their intrinsic susceptibility to O and HO-particularly to reactive oxygen species (ROS), which have strong oxidizing properties.

Here this challenge is tackled using in situ cryogenic transmission electron microscopy (cryoTEM) in combination with electron tomography (cryoET), which allows 3D imaging of the process with <1 nm resolution. By monitoring the film formation process of poly(ethylene-co-methacrylic acid) (EMAA) ionomer dispersion, onion-like nano-aggregates are captured.

Methods: A total of 26,554 residents aged 50 years and older were recruited. Multinomial logistic regression models were applied to assess the risk factors of cognition levels.
Hot dry rock (HDR) geothermal is a sustainable and clean energy source. However, its development progress is hindered by creating seepage channels in deep reservoirs with low porosity and permeability. Traditional hydraulic fracturing techniques are ineffective for enhancing the permeability of these high-strength reservoirs.

We documented trace elements (Fe, Zn, Mn, and Cu), quality indicators (vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin C, total sugar, and proteins), and pesticide residues. The evaluation indicated that the quality of asparagus in standardization bases 1-4 was higher than that in small farmer sites 5-7.

However, the fabrication of hydrogels that possess both multifunctionality and structural stability remains a challenging task. In this study, a novel hydrogel, PHCB, was synthesized using a mild method and exhibited outstanding characteristics such as electrical conductivity, self-healing capability, antimicrobial activity, dimensional stability, and temperature sensitivity.

Consequently, responses to multiple single agents cannot be delineated at the single patient level, even though some patients might not require all drugs in the combination. Herein, we conduct multi-omic analyses of orthotopic TNBC patient-derived xenografts (PDXs) treated with single agent carboplatin, docetaxel, or the combination.

Binding propensity has been shown to be modulated by stabilizing the pre-activated state of arrestin through point mutations or C-tail truncation. Here, we hypothesize that pre-activated rotated states can be stabilized by small molecules, and this can promote binding to phosphorylation-deficient receptors, which underly a variety of human disorders.

We propose a new approach for reconstructing multiple cortical surfaces using from brain MRI ribbon segmentations. Our approach initializes a midthickness surface and then deforms it inward and outward to form the inner (white matter) and outer (pial) cortical surfaces, respectively, by jointly learning diffeomorphic flows to align the surfaces with the boundaries of the cortical ribbon segmentation maps.

Because therapeutic cancer vaccines can, in theory, eliminate tumor cells specifically with relatively low toxicity, they have long been considered for application in repressing cancer progression. Traditional cancer vaccines containing a single or a few discrete tumor epitopes have failed in the clinic, possibly due to challenges in epitope selection, target downregulation, cancer cell heterogeneity, tumor microenvironment immunosuppression, or a lack of vaccine immunogenicity. Whole cancer cell or cancer membrane vaccines, which provide a rich source of antigens, are emerging as viable alternatives.

Background: () infection exhibits a familial clustering phenomenon.
Aim: To investigate the prevalence of infection, identify associated factors, and analyze patterns of transmission within families residing in the community.
Methods: From July 2021 to September 2021, a total of 191 families (519 people) in two randomly chosen community health service centers in the Chengguan District of Lanzhou in Gansu Province, were recruited to fill out questionnaires and tested for infection.
Background: Rice, a staple food for over half of the global population, exhibits significant diversity in grain shape characteristics, which impact not only appearance and milling quality but also grain weight and yield. Identifying genes and loci underlying these traits is crucial for improving rice breeding programs. Previous studies have identified multiple quantitative trait loci (QTLs) and genes regulating grain length, width, and length-width ratio; however, further investigation is necessary to elucidate their regulatory pathways and their practical application in crop improvement.

Gallstones lead to many severe complications, posing a significant burden on global healthcare systems. Many studies have shown associations between biliary microbiota, gallbladder immune microenvironment, and gallstone formation.

However, there is a lack of real-world epidemiological data delineating the characteristics of mortality for EVT, particularly in recent years following the widespread promotion of EVT treatment for stroke patients.
Methods: This multicenter, retrospective study collected data from 721 AIS patients who died following EVT across 33 hospitals in Sichuan Province, China, from January 2019 to September 2022.

EEG decoding plays a crucial role in the development of motor imagery brain-computer interface. Deep learning has great potential to automatically extract EEG features for end-to-end decoding. Currently, the deep learning is faced with the chanllenge of decoding from a large amount of time-variant EEG to retain a stable peroformance with different sessions.

However, these approaches are deficient in real-time evaluation and dynamic definitions. To address this gap, this paper proposes a Continuous Quantitative Scale (CQS) that allows for the natural and real-time measurement of MF based on group-synchronized electroencephalogram (EEG) data.
