The study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness and changes in pathology of progestin treatment for stage I a endometrial carcinoma and complex atypical hyperplasia in younger women wanting to preserve their fertility.
A total of 30 patients were monitored while receiving high doses of progestin for 6 to 9 months, with regular assessments to track histological changes.
Results showed a significant response, with 26 patients achieving complete response (CR), but some experienced recurrence during follow-up, requiring potential re-treatment.
