Objective: This study aimed to observe the impact of Tthoracic paravertebral nerve blockade(TPVB) at left T7 level on the α7nAChR-dependent cholinergic anti-inflammatory pathway in patients undergoing thoracoscopic lobectomy.
Methods: Scheduled thoracoscopic lung surgery patients at the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University from August to September 2023 were divided into two groups according to the surgical site. The experimental group underwent left T7 paravertebral nerve blockade (LTPVB group), while the control group underwent right T7 paravertebral nerve blockade (RTPVB group).
In order to take full advantage of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and western medicine, combined with machine learning technology, to study the risk factors and better risk prediction model of diabetic retinopathy (DR), and provide basis for the screening and treatment of it. Through a retrospective study of DR cases in the real world, the electronic medical records of patients who met screening criteria were collected. Moreover, Recursive Feature Elimination with Cross-Validation (RFECV) was used for feature selection.

In this study, we showed that Rab10 in the nucleus accumbens (NAc) of male animals affects the development of cocaine-induced behavioral effects, which are associated with the plasma membrane expression of the GABA heteroreceptor (GABAR).
Methods: We performed flow cytometry, immunoendocytosis, pHluorin activity analysis, electrophysiology analysis, and open-field testing to explore the role of Rab10 in modulating the membrane expression and function of GABAR and its regulatory effect on cocaine-induced behavioral effects.
Introduction: Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) has become the leading cause of chronic liver disease worldwide. As an integral component of the aqueous humor outflow, its structure and function are essential in regulating intraocular pressure (IOP). If SC develops lesions, the drainage of aqueous humor would be obstructed, leading to increased intraocular pressure and injury to the optic nerve.

Its etiology is idiopathic, characterized by distinctive and polymorphous lymphoid infiltration within the orbital region. Preliminary investigations suggest that PALMD localizes within the cytosol, potentially playing a crucial role in cellular processes, including plasma membrane dynamics and myogenic differentiation.

Recent advancements have shed light on the HLF (Human lactoferrin), proposing its critical involvement in the regulation of hematopoiesis and the maintenance of innate mucosal immunity. This revelation has generated significant interest in exploring HLF's utility as a biomarker for NSOI, despite the existing gaps in our understanding of its biosynthetic pathways and operational mechanisms.

Objective: The aim of this research is to explore the potential mechanisms of QJDHW in treating dry eye using UHPLC-QE-MS, metabolomics, and network pharmacology.
This study aims to explore the effect of Lycii Fructus and Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma(LFSMR), a drug pair possesses the function of nourishing Yin, promoting blood circulation, and brightening the eyes, in treating retinitis pigmentosa(RP)by inhibiting the gliosis of Müller cells(MCs) and inducing their reprogramming and differentiation into various types of retinal nerve cells. Twelve C57 mice were used as the normal control group, and 48 transgenic RP(rd10) mice were randomly divided into the model group, positive control group, and low and high dose LFSMR groups, with 12 mice in each group. HE staining was used to detect pathological changes in the retina, and an electroretinogram was used to detect retinal function.

Here, we explored the mechanism underlying comorbid POF and DED to further elucidate disease mechanisms and improve treatment. Datasets related to POF (GSE39501) and DED (GSE44101) were identified from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database and subjected to weighted gene coexpression network (WGCNA) and differentially expressed genes (DEGs) analyses, respectively, with the intersection used to obtain 158 genes comorbid in POF and DED.

The integration of metabolic and immune pathways suggests potential therapeutic roles for C-peptide and G protein-coupled receptor 146 (GPR146) in diabetes and its sequelae. However, the specific mechanisms through which GPR146 modulates immune responses remain poorly understood.

The transcription factor Interferon Regulatory Factor 8 (IRF8), integral to the IRF protein family, was initially identified as a pivotal element for the commitment and differentiation of myeloid cell lineage. Serving as a central regulator of innate immune receptor signaling, IRF8 orchestrates a myriad of functions in hematopoietic cell development.

Koidz, a traditional Chinese medicine, contains atractylenolide I (ATR-I), which has potential anticancer, anti-inflammatory, and immune-modulating properties. This study evaluated the therapeutic potential of ATR-I for indomethacin (IND)-induced gastric mucosal lesions and its underlying mechanisms. Noticeable improvements were observed in the histological morphology and ultrastructures of the rat gastric mucosa after ATR-I treatment.

Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is a severe ocular complication of diabetes that can lead to vision damage and even blindness. Currently, traditional deep convolutional neural networks (CNNs) used for DR grading tasks face two primary challenges: (1) insensitivity to minority classes due to imbalanced data distribution, and (2) neglecting the relationship between the left and right eyes by utilizing the fundus image of only one eye for training without differentiating between them. To tackle these challenges, we proposed the DRGCNN (DR Grading CNN) model.
