A photoexcited sulfenylation of C(sp)-H bonds in amides is developed for the synthesis of sulfenyl amides using thiosulfonates as a sulfur source. In the presence of easily available and inexpensive Na-eosin Y, TBHP and KCO, various sulfenyl amides can be obtained under the irradiation of blue light at room temperature.

Article Synopsis
  • Moringa oleifera seeds have shown effective results in lowering blood pressure and blood sugar while boosting the immune system.
  • Researchers identified a new phenolic glycoside (compound 1) alongside four known compounds (2-5) from these seeds, with compound 3 being reported for the first time.
  • The study demonstrated that compounds 1, 4, and 5 can enhance glucose uptake in insulin-resistant cells and decrease blood sugar levels in mice, suggesting their potential as new, safe treatments for diabetes.
