Lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) are widely used in electric vehicles, portable electronic devices, clean energy storage, and other fields due to their long service life, high energy density, and low self-discharge rate, which also puts forward higher requirements for the performance of lithium-ion batteries. As an anode for lithium-ion batteries, SiO materials have garnered significant attention from researchers due to its high specific capacity (2400 mAh g), abundance of raw materials, and simple preparation. However, its large volume change (~200 %) and poor electrical conductivity hinder its large-scale commercial application.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to assess the associations between the self-reported oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL) of older Chinese people and their socio-economic status and oral health using data collected in the 4th National Oral Health Survey.

Methods: After multistage stratified cluster sampling, 4332 adults aged 65-74 years participated in the study. After a clinical examination, the participants completed a structured questionnaire.

The role of muscle LIM protein (MLP), encoded by CSRP3, is not well understood in humans. CSRP3 knockout mice developed dilated cardiomyopathy with hypertrophy and heart failure after birth. Using CRISPR/Cas9, we generated an MLP deficient human ESC line WAe009-A-41 carrying a compound heterozygous 13 bp deletion/1 bp insertion in the CSRP3 gene.

The precast shear wall behavior in the serviceability and ultimate limit states depends on the shear and shear-flexural behavior of the joints between the precast components or between the precast component and footing. This study presents a series of tests on the shear strength of joints, which were applied to the interface of precast shear walls. The tested parameters included the joint types, the numbers of shear keys, the existence of high strength steel bars inserted at the joints, and the levels of confining stress.

Objective: To understand the current situation of soil-transmitted nematode infections and influencing factors of pupils in rural areas of Yi Ethnicity in Butuo County, Sichuan Province, so as to provide the evidence for the prevention and control of soil-transmitted nematode infections.

Methods: In 2016, the pupils of 2 villages in Butuo County were selected by the multi-stage random sampling method, and the relevant information was obtained by questionnaires, including social demographic information, diet and hygiene habits and acknowledge of parasitic disease prevention. The soil-transmitted nematode infections were examined by Kato-Katz technique.

Background: Social support might play a role in helping people adopt healthy behaviors and improve their health. Stronger social support from mothers has been found to be positively related to higher tooth brushing frequency in 1- to 3-year-old children. However, little is known regarding the relationship between the caregiver's social support and the oral health-related behaviors of 5-year-old children in China.

Objective: To explore the prevalence of NCCL and associated risk indicators in 35- to 44-year-olds and 65- to 74-year-olds from both urban and suburban districts of Guangzhou, Southern China.

Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted on NCCL with a sample of 768 35- to 44-year-olds and 991 65- to 74-year-olds, and the Tooth wear index was applied to record the tooth wear. Data on socioeconomic status, health behaviour and general health condition were obtained from a structured questionnaire.

Objectives: Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is an emerging risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Microcirculatory dysfunction has been proposed as a potential mechanism in the pathogenesis of cardiovascular disease in OSA. This study aims to investigate the relationship between OSA and coronary microcirculatory function.

Objective: To compare the effectiveness of annual topical application of silver diamine fluoride (SDF) solution, semi-annual topical application of SDF solution, and annual application of a flowable high fluoride-releasing glass ionomer in arresting active dentine caries in primary teeth.

Methods: A total of 212 children, aged 3-4 years, were randomly allocated to one of three groups for treatment of carious dentine cavities in their primary teeth: Gp1-annual application of SDF, Gp2-semi-annual application of SDF, and Gp3-annual application of glass ionomer. Follow-up examinations were carried out every six months to assess whether the treated caries lesions had become arrested.

In this paper, we describe a new method for determination of hemoglobin of single red blood cells by coupling chemiluminescence with capillary electrophoresis (CL-CE). The chemiluminescent detection is based on the catalytic effects of hemoglobin on the luminol-hydrogen peroxide reaction. The conditions of chemiluminescent reaction and capillary electrophoresis were investigated.
