Studies in psychoneuroimmunology (PNI) would provide better insights into the "whole mind-body system." Systems biology models of the complex adaptive systems (CASs), such as a conceptual framework of "Yin-Yang dynamics," may be helpful for identifying systems-based biomarkers and targets for more effective prevention and treatment. The disturbances in the Yin-Yang dynamical balance may result in stress, inflammation, and various disorders including insomnia, Alzheimer's disease, obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, skin disorders, and cancer.

Electrically conductive, yet stimuli-responsive hydrogels are highly desirable for many technological applications. However, the discontinuous conductivity of hydrogels during the response process has become a bottleneck that limits their application. To overcome this constraint, a linearly tunable, electrically conductive hydrogel is prepared using in-situ polymerized polyaniline (PANI) on a CNFs/MEO MA/PEGMA hydrogel (PANI@CMP hydrogel) substrate.

Cellulose nanofibrils (CNFs), disintegrated from natural fibers, are promising alternatives in wastewater purification for the porous structure and numerous hydroxyls. The pristine CNFs aerogel has limited mechanical strength and are vulnerable to collapse when exposed to water. In this work, eco-friendly and recycled CNFs aerogel adsorbents were successfully prepared using cellulose nanofibrils (CNFs), which cross-linked by poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) and acrylic acid (AA).

Atmospheric temperature is one of the important parameters for the description of the atmospheric state. Most of the detection approaches to atmospheric temperature monitoring are based on rotational Raman scattering for better understanding atmospheric dynamics, thermodynamics, atmospheric transmission, and radiation. In this paper, we present a fine-filter method based on wavelength division multiplexing, incorporating a fiber Bragg grating in the visible spectrum for the rotational Raman scattering spectrum.

Although there is a growing interest in utilizing nanocellulose fibres (NCFs) based composites for achieving a higher sustainability, mechanical performance of these composites is limited due to the poor compatibility between fibre reinforcement and polymer matrices. Here we developed a bio-nanocomposite with an enhanced fibre/resin interface using a hybrid-toughened epoxy. A strong reinforcing effect of NCFs was achieved, demonstrating an increase up to 88% in tensile strength and 298% in tensile modulus as compared to neat petro-based P-epoxy.

DNA polymerase (DNApol) is present in all baculoviruses and plays a crucial role in viral DNA replication. Previously we showed that the DNApol of the alphabaculovirus group II Spodoptera litura nucleopolyhedrovirus (SpltNPV) could partially substitute for the DNApol of a group I alphabaculovirus, Autographa californica multiple nucleopolyhedrovirus (AcMNPV). However, it is not known if a betabaculovirus DNApol could subsititute for the alphabaculovirus DNApol in AcMNPV.
