Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is an aggressive malignancy and the most common form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) that occurs worldwide. To discover risk factors and pathogenesis of DLBCL, we performed the largest GWAS of DLBCL to date in samples of East Asian ancestry, consisting of 2,888 patients with DLBCL and 12,458 controls. The meta-analysis identified three novel loci, rs2233434 on 6p21.

At the same time, the makeup of industrial chemicals in our environment only grows more complex. This gap in knowledge on cancer risk has prompted calls to expand cancer research to the comprehensive, discovery-based study of non-genetic environmental influences, conceptualized as the "exposome.

Magnetic two-dimensional (2D) materials have garnered significant attention for their potential to revolutionize 2D spintronics due to their unique magnetic properties. However, their air-sensitivity and highly insulating nature of the magnetic semiconductors present substantial challenges for device fabrication with effective contacts. In this study, we introduce a polycarbonate (PC)-assisted transfer method that effectively forms van der Waals (vdW) contacts with 2D materials, streamlining the fabrication process without the need for additional lithography.

However, the spatiotemporal patterns of gene expression underlying placentation remain poorly understood. Utilizing Stereo-seq, we constructed a Mouse Placentation Spatiotemporal Transcriptomic Atlas (MPSTA) spanning from embryonic day (E) 7.

Free fatty acids (FFAs) have emerged as significant risk factors for atherosclerosis (AS). Prolonged exposure to FFAs induces vascular endothelial injury, including inflammatory responses and oxidative stress, which are central events in AS. Chromofungin (CHR), a peptide derived from chromogranin A (CGA), has been implicated in various biological functions.

How reacts inside macrophages and what is the molecular basis of its drug tolerance are not well understood.

However, its inherent poor electrical conductivity and limited reversible capacity greatly hinder its practical application. Here, ultrathin TiO nanoplates were synthesized utilizing a hydrothermal technique.

This study is a retrospective study, and 500 patients with cervical spondylosis admitted to our hospital from April 2022 to June 2023 were selected as the study objects. They were divided into a control group (250 cases) and an experimental group (250 cases) according to whether they received personalized intensive care.

To extend our previous observation of a significant exposure-response for cumulative occupational benzene exposure and NHL risk among Chinese women in a population-based cohort in Shanghai, we extended follow-up of this cohort and pooled the data with a similarly designed population-based cohort of men in Shanghai. Cumulative exposure estimates were derived for 134,449 participants in the pooled analysis by combining ordinal job-exposure matrix intensity ratings with quantitative benzene measurements from an inspection database of Shanghai factories.

Schisandrin A (Sch A) has multiple pharmacological activities, including inhibiting fibrosis, reducing apoptosis and oxidative stress, and regulating immunity, but its pharmacological mechanism for the treatment of DN is still unclear. In vivo, streptozotocin (STZ) and a high-fat diet were used to induce type 2 diabetic rats, and Sch A was administered for 4 weeks.

Protective standards for radon exposure are derived largely from studies of working populations that are prone to healthy worker survivor bias. This bias can lead to under-protection of workers and is a key barrier to understanding health effects of many exposures.

Recent research has pointed to methylated PAHs (mPAHs), particularly 5-methylchrysene (5MC), within coal combustion products as a driving factor. Here we describe measurements of mPAHs in Xuanwei and Fuyuan derived from controlled burnings (i.
