Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) and cerebrovascular diseases (CeVDs) are closely related vascular diseases, sharing common cardiometabolic risk factors (RFs). Although pleiotropic genetic variants of these two diseases have been reported, their underlying pathological mechanisms are still unclear. Leveraging GWAS summary data and using genetic correlation, pleiotropic variants identification, and colocalization analyses, we identified 11 colocalized loci for CVDs-CeVDs-BP (blood pressure), CVDs-CeVDs-LIP (lipid traits), and CVDs-CeVDs-cIMT (carotid intima-media thickness) triplets.

Methods: Utilizing summary statistics data from genome-wide association studies (GWAS), a thorough investigation to evaluate the impact of common variations on the genome were undertook. This involved assessing single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) heritability across the entire genome, as well as within specific genomic regions.
Aim: To assess the association between Benzodiazepines (BZDs) or Z-hypnotic use and cardiovascular diseases (CVD) incidence in residents in Beijing, China.
Methods: We included 2,415,573 individuals with a prescription record for BZDs or Z-hypnotics in the Beijing Medical Claim Data for Employees database during 2010-2017, and 8,794,356 non-users with other prescriptions for the same period. Hazard ratios (HR) and 95% confidence intervals (CI) were calculated using Cox proportional risk models for 712,850 exposed and 712,850 unexposed participants who were matched 1:1 by propensity score.

Category-level pose tracking methods can continuously track the pose of objects without requiring any prior knowledge of the specific shape of the tracked instance. This makes them advantageous in augmented reality and virtual reality applications.
