Background: Research indicates a positive association between short-term diurnal temperature range (DTR) exposure and hypertension. However, the impact of long-term DTR exposure has not been thoroughly studied in population-based cohort research.
Methods: This study conducted cross-sectional (including 16,690 participants) and longitudinal analyses (including 9,650 participants) based on the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS).
Low-dimensional metal halides have attracted considerable attention due to their unique optoelectronic properties. In this study, we report a solid-state synthesis of air-stable all-inorganic Pb-free zero-dimensional (0D) RbInCl single crystals (SCs). By a heterovalent doping of Cu ions, the RbInCl:Cu SCs featured an efficient blue-violet emission with a greatly enhanced photoluminescence (PL) quantum yield (95%) and an ultralong PL lifetime (13.

The results showed that the perovskite materials were thermodynamically stable and exhibited the properties of direct band gap semiconductors in the temperature range of 100 to 400 K. However, a first-order phase transition occurred when the temperature was raised to 450 K, causing transformation of the orthorhombic to tetragonal space group.

Objective: To explore the cause of inconsistent genotypes for an α-thalassemia carrier by using two commercial genotyping kits.
Methods: GAP-PCR and PCR-reverse dot blotting (PCR-RDB) were employed to determine the genotype of the carrier, while Sanger sequencing was used to verify the results.
Results: Sequencing analysis demonstrated that the subject has carried a α1 globin gene with a 3.
Osteosarcoma (OS) is the most common primary malignant bone tumor in young patients. However, treatment paradigms and survival rates have not improved in decades. MicroRNAs have been shown to be critical regulators of physiological homeostasis and pathological process, including bone disease.

A systematic review and meta-analysis was conducted using MEDLINE, Embase, ISI Web of Knowledge, the Cochrane Library, Scopus, BioMed Central, ScienceDirect, China Biomedical literature Database (CBM) and China National Knowledge Internet (CNKI) from inception through Aug 29, 2013. Articles written in English or Chinese that investigated the accuracy of MMP-9 for the diagnosis of OS were included.

However, questions remain concerning which domains in the C terminus of NR2 subunits control the assembly of receptor complexes and how the assembled complexes are selectively trafficked through the various cellular compartments such as endoplasmic reticulum (ER) to the cell surface. In the present study, we found that the three amino acid tail after the TM4 region of NR2 subunits is necessary for surface expression of functional NMDA receptors, while truncations with only two amino acids following the TM4 region (NR2Delta2) completely eliminated surface expression of the NMDA receptor on co-expression with NR1-1a in HEK293 cells.

Isolated mitochondria have been shown to take up thiamine yet thiamine diphosphokinase is cytosolic and not present in mitochondria. Previous reports indicate that ThDP can also be taken up by rat mitochondria, but the kinetic constants associated with such uptake seemed not to be physiologically relevant.
