While the association of APOE with AD biomarkers also varies across sex and ancestry, no study has systematically investigated both sex-specific and ancestry differences of APOE on cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) biomarkers together, resulting in limited insights and generalizability.

Goals And Background: Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE) is a chronic inflammatory esophageal disorder, often complicated by strictures requiring dilation. There is limited information on the target esophageal luminal diameter (ELD) post-treatment to relieve symptoms. The aim of this study was to determine the ELD threshold associated with dysphagia resolution in EoE patients in histologic remission.

The impact of integrated care on clinical outcomes in patients with alcohol-associated liver disease: Early outcomes from a multidisciplinary clinic.

Background: We analyzed early outcomes regarding the impact of our integrated alcohol-associated liver disease (ALD) clinic on patients with ALD and alcohol use.

Methods: We conducted a retrospective study of patients with ALD who were evaluated in our integrated clinic from May 1, 2022, to December 31, 2023. Primary outcomes included differences in baseline clinical/demographic data between patients who accepted versus declined an appointment and changes in the severity of ALD, alcohol consumption, functional status, hospital utilization, and remission in alcohol use disorder for evaluated patients.

Background: Many patients with medically refractory ulcerative colitis undergo ileal pouch-anal anastomosis, which typically includes the creation of a temporary loop ileostomy. The impact of the interval between ileal pouch-anal anastomosis and loop ileostomy closure regarding endoscopic pouch inflammation has not been well defined. The aim for this project was to assess if delayed loop ileostomy closure increases patients' risk of endoscopic pouch inflammation.

Primary hepatic epithelioid hemangioendothelioma: a case report.

Epithelioid hemangioendothelioma is a low-grade malignant tumor of vascular origin. The rarity of hepatic epithelioid hemangioendothelioma (HEHE) makes the diagnosis and treatment of this entity challenging. We report a case of a 69-year-old female patient who suffered from HEHE and complained of abdominal distension pain with dizziness and appetite loss for more than half a month.

Endoscopic submucosal dissection with versus without traction for pathologically staged T1B esophageal cancer: a multicenter retrospective study.

Background And Aims: Positive vertical margins (VMs) are common after endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) of T1b esophageal cancer (EC) and are associated with an increased risk of recurrence. Traction during ESD provides better exposure of the submucosa and may allow deeper dissection, potentially reducing the risk of positive VMs. We conducted a retrospective multicenter study to compare the proportion of resections with positive VMs in ESD performed with versus without traction in pathologically staged T1b EC.

Moreover, the continuous flow system has good applicability for this transformation, the use of continuous flow system has overcome the disadvantage of low efficiency in traditional electrochemical amplification, and realized the stable and excellent yields of target products in the scale-up reactions.

The ferroelectric field-effect transistors (FeFETs) with HfO-based ferroelectric layers in the gate stacks are emerging as one of the most promising candidates for the next-generation nonvolatile memory devices due to their scalability and compatibility with conventional Si technology. Moreover, owing to the high radiation hardness of the HfO-based ferroelectric thin films, HfO-based FeFETs have attracted great interest in the fields of radiation-hard (rad-hard) memory. However, the reliability of their memory states under irradiation, which represents the validity of the stored information, has not been investigated.

CEP192 is a novel prognostic marker and correlates with the immune microenvironment in hepatocellular carcinoma.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) responds poorly to standard chemotherapy or targeted therapy; hence, exploration for novel therapeutic targets is urgently needed. CEP192 protein is indispensable for centrosome amplification, which has been extensively characterized in both hematological malignancies and solid tumors. Here, we combined bioinformatics and experimental approaches to assess the potential of CEP192 as a prognostic and therapeutic target in HCC.
