China has been continuously improving its monitoring methods and strategies to address key infectious diseases (KIDs). After the severe acute respiratory syndrome epidemic in 2003, China established a comprehensive reporting system for infectious diseases (IDs) and public health emergencies. The relatively lagging warning thresholds, limited warning information, and outdated warning technology are insufficient to meet the needs of comprehensive monitoring for modern KIDs.

Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted by using multi-stage stratified cluster random sampling.
Elderly individuals with chronic illnesses are more prone to get influenza. We aimed to investigate the factors associated with influenza coverage and willingness in chronic disease patients aged ≥60 years in Longhua district, Shenzhen City of southern China. Data collected in October 2020 were used in this work.

Detecting SARS-CoV-2 antigen can be rapid and convenient, but it is still challenging to develop highly sensitive methods for effective diagnosis. Herein, a lateral flow assay (LFA) based on fluorescent nanoparticles emitting in the second near-infrared (NIR-II) window is developed for sensitive detection of SARS-CoV-2 antigen.

Given the high level of exposure to SARS-CoV-2, cold-chain workers are considered priority vaccination groups. To date, many studies have reported on the willingness within distinct populations to be vaccinated against COVID-19, whereas it has not been reported among cold-chain workers worldwide. To address this void, we conducted a cross-sectional survey to gather general information, COVID-19-related knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP), and willingness to receive a COVID-19 vaccine among cold-chain workers in Shenzhen, China.

For the above reasons, a beneficial effect of acupuncture on pruritus was not recommended or reported in recent clinical practice guidelines. Acupuncture is a kind of physical stimulation, which has the characteristics of multi-channel and multi-target effects.

Here we report the Cryo-EM structure of full-length human p97 dodecamer in 3.

However, there have been few studies investigating the influenza vaccination status among older people with hypertension. The present work aimed to estimate the vaccination coverage and determine the predictors of seasonal influenza vaccinations among hypertensive patients aged over 60 years in Shenzhen, China.

To date, the knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) toward COVID-19 among different populations have been reported, whereas such information is unavailable in teachers. We aimed to investigate the KAP of teachers associated with COVID-19 during the global outbreak.

The pneumococcal vaccine coverage presents extremely low among elderly people in China. However, the serious event of COVID-19 drives interest in the pneumococcal vaccine, prompting us investigating the willingness to accept the 23-valent pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine (PPSV23) and influencing factors among people aged over 60 years during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Food safety is a top priority of concern for consumers. To promote growth, as well as to treat diseases which occur in aquaculture, antibiotics, even banned veterinary antibiotics, are widely used. This survey investigated the levels of chloramphenicol (CAP) by LC-MS/MS in 291 aquatic samples (all the products in this survey were local sales, exported products were not included), including shellfish, shrimp and fish, from Shenzhen, South China.

Previous studies have shown that there are two types of hypervalent twist models, i.e.

The Type VI secretion system (T6SS) is a membrane protein complex related to inter-bacterial competitions and host-pathogen interactions in Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The T6SS is regulated by a great variety of regulatory mechanisms at multiple levels, including post-translational modification with threonine phosphorylation mediated by Ser/Thr protein kinase PpkA and phosphatase PppA. The T6SS is activated by PpkA via Thr phosphorylation of Fha, and PppA can antagonize PpkA.

We report here the near-complete genome sequences of 12 CV-A strains isolated from infants and children with different clinical diseases. The presented data will be very useful for future genome-based epidemiological studies.
