Their maturity and infiltration in the tumor largely determine the efficiency of antigen presentation, the CTL responses, and the prognosis of tumors. However, the application of common immunoregulatory plant polysaccharides to DCs still represents major challenges due to the off-target effect and short biological lifespan.

Herein, we show that pSS plasma contained more extracellular vesicles (EVs) than HC plasma, which promoted CD4 T cell activation, Th1, and follicular T helper cell (Tfh) differentiation, aggravating pSS immunopathology. Notably, pSS plasma EVs were enriched with miR-501-3p, mediating CD4 T cell activation and Tfh cell differentiation.

Methods: The clinical data of patients with atrophic facial acne scars treated in the Dermatology Department of The People's Hospital of Chongqing Liangping District from October 2022 to 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were divided into two groups based on treatment methods: the single intervention group (Group A, n=25) and the combined intervention group (Group B, n=25).
Objectives: This study aimed to compare the efficacy and safety of subcutaneous methotrexate (SC MTX) and oral MTX (OR MTX) in treating Chinese patients with active rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
Methods: This study included patients with active RA in China. All patients were randomly assigned to receive SC MTX or OR MTX.
Aim: The continuous update of international guidelines and enhanced availability of biological disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (bDMARDs) and targeted synthetic DMARDs (tsDMARDs) have made a significant impact on the diagnosis and treatment of early rheumatoid arthritis (ERA). This study aims to systematically evaluate the current treatment strategies and outcomes within a large-scale cohort of patients with ERA.
Methods: Data from the Chinese Registry of Rheumatoid Arthritis (CREDIT), a large multicenter Chinese registry of RA, were collected to analyze temporal trends in clinical profiles, therapeutic strategies, and treatment outcomes among patients with ERA.
Background: Percutaneous vertebroplasty (PVP) is a common surgical method for osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures (OVCFs). The puncture method and location of the puncture needle can directly affect bone cement distribution in the vertebra. This retrospective study aimed to compare the clinical efficacy and safety of PVP using the cross-puncture and bilateral conventional puncture for the treatment of Genant grade 0-1 OVCFs.

However, the comprehensive impact of UUL modification on breast cancer remains unclear. Transcriptomic and clinical data of breast cancer were downloaded from TCGA and GEO databases.

However, its relatively low molecular weight limits its clinical application. To extend the therapeutic half-life, an albumin-binding domain (ABD), known for its high affinity for human serum albumin (HSA), was fused to hID2, resulting in a recombinant ABD-hID2.

However, synthesis of the labeled compounds with exclusive site selectivity and/or high isotope incorporation is challenging. One widely employed method is heterogeneous palladium(0)-catalyzed (such as Pd/C) dehalogenative deuteration and tritiation with D/T gas.

It is unknown whether intravenous tirofiban is effective in increasing the rate of FPSR in acute anterior large-vessel occlusion stroke.
Methods And Results: Patients who had acute large-vessel occlusion stroke presenting within 24 hours and underwent endovascular thrombectomy were analyzed from the RESCUE BT (Intravenous Tirofiban for Patients With Large Vessel Occlusion Stroke) clinical trial, of which the main analysis was neutral.

A novel surface plasmon resonance (SPR) refractive index (RI) sensor based on the D-type dual-mode photonic crystal fiber (PCF) is proposed. The sensor employs a side-polished few-mode PCF that facilitates the transmission of the fundamental and second-order modes, with an integrated microfluidic channel positioned directly above the fiber core. This design minimizes the distance to the analyte and maximizes the interaction between the optical field and the analyte, thereby enhancing the SPR effect and resonance loss for improved sensing performance.

The nanosensor is a field-effect transistor (FET) with monolayer graphene as the conducting channel and is functionalized with a new custom-designed aptamer for specific AVP recognition. Binding between the aptamer and AVP induces a change in the carrier density in the graphene and resulting in measurable changes in FET characteristics for determination of the AVP concentration.

Method: By searching PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane, CNKI, Wanfang and other databases, all the literatures until March 2024 about the comparison of randomized controlled Trial (RCT) of mixed nutrition and parenteral nutrition support in postoperative patients with esophageal cancer were screened. The inclusion criteria were that the patients were from randomized controlled trials or clinical trials in China, and the patients were all diagnosed with esophageal cancer by pathological biopsy.
Objectives: To investigate predictors of hypogammaglobulinemia (HGG) and severe infection event (SIE) in patients with autoimmune disease (AID) receiving rituximab (RTX) therapy.
Methods: This was a retrospective study conducted in a tertiary medical center in China. Predictors of HGG or SIE were assessed using Cox analysis.
In large-scale radiation exposure events, the ability to triage potential victims by the received radiation dosage is crucial. This can be evaluated by radiation-induced biological changes. Radiation-responsive mRNA is a class of biomarkers that has been explored for dose-dependency with methods such as RT-qPCR.

The aim of the present study was to investigate the clinical value of preoperative adrenal venous sampling (AVS) for determining the benefit of PA surgery. Patients diagnosed with PA at Liaocheng People's Hospital (Liaocheng, China) between January 2015 and December 2020 were selected and divided into two groups: Group A underwent adrenal computed tomography (CT) only, whereas Group B underwent adrenal CT and successful AVS.

Methods: The literature search was performed up to December 8, 2023, and included a comprehensive examination of several databases: PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang, and VIP. Diagnostic metrics sensitivity, specificity, positive likelihood ratio (PLR), negative likelihood ratio (NLR), diagnostic odds ratio (DOR), and a summary receiver operating characteristic (SROC) were determined using a bivariate model analysis.
Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the third most prevalent malignancy and the second leading cause of cancer-related mortality worldwide. Currently, CRC staging heavily relies on invasive surgical procedures for in vitro pathological analysis, which entails long detection cycles and increases the risk of metastasis. There is an urgent need for specific biomarkers to classify adenomas and cancers, while early in vivo staging detection could potentially reduce mortality and morbidity rates.

In this study, both transcriptome and physicochemical analyses were performed to investigate the changes of nutrients and gene expression in truffle fruiting bodies during cold storage. The results of physicochemical analysis revealed the active metabolism of fruiting bodies in cold storage, showing the decreased contents of protein and soluble sugar, the variations in both polyphenol oxidase activity and total phenol content, and the detrimental effect of reactive oxygen species production caused by heavy metals (cadmium and lead) in truffles.
