Background: Sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) has become standard procedure for early breast cancer patients with clinically node negative disease. The patients with SLN metastasis normally underwent axillary lymph node dissection (ALND). However, the metastatic status of non-sentinel Lymph nodes (non-SLNs) varied significantly in different reports.

Background: How to quickly read and interpret intraoperative ultrasound (IOUS) images of patients with degenerative cervical myelopathy (DCM) to obtain meaningful information? Few studies have systematically explored this topic.

Purpose: To systematically and comprehensively explore the IOUS characteristics of patients with DCM.

Materials And Methods: This single-center study retrospectively included patients with DCM who underwent French-door laminoplasty (FDL) with IOUS guidance from October 2019 to March 2022.

Poor selectivity, low bioavailability and serious systemic side-effects have limited the application of traditional chemotherapy method for treatment of prostate cancer. Stimuli-responsive drug delivery systems for chemotherapy are mainly based on the unique characteristics of tumor microenvironment. In this study, the GSH-sensitive poly-TTG-SS@DTX NPs (DTX-loaded poly-Tetraethylene glycol nanoparticles) were designed and synthesized, which were characterized with nanosized diameter (92.

Background: The incidence of thyroid lumps is more and more high in population, and most biopsies of thyroid nodules are benign. To develop a practical risk stratification system based on five ultrasound features to stratify the malignancy risk of thyroid neoplasms.

Methods: This retrospective investigation enrolled 999 consecutive patients with 1,236 thyroid nodules who underwent ultrasound screening.

Objective: Epidural analgesia has been widely used as a form of pain relief during labor and its safety has been gradually recognized. However, few studies of the effect of epidural analgesia on the pelvic floor are known. Thus, we aim to analyze the effect of epidural analgesia on labor progress and women's pelvic floor muscle from the perspective of electromyography systematically.

Synthetic lethality through combinatorial targeting DNA damage response (DDR) pathways provides exciting anticancer therapeutic benefit. Currently, the long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been implicated in tumor drug resistance; however, their potential significance in DDR is still largely unknown. Here, we report that a human lncRNA, CTD-2256P15.

Background: It is still controversial whether immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) can improve the curative effect when added to original standard chemotherapy treatment for triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). We compared their antitumor efficacy and adverse effects (AEs) to make a better clinical decision.

Methods: Seven databases were searched for eligible articles.

Ultrasonography (US) contrast imaging using US contrast agents has been widely applied for the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of tumors. Commercial US contrast agents have limited applications because of their large size and shorter imaging time. At the same time, the desired therapeutic purpose cannot be achieved by applying only conventional US contrast agents.

Delayed repair is a serious public health concern for diabetic populations. Intercellular adhesion molecule 1 (ICAM-1) and Lymphocyte function-associated antigen 1 (LFA-1) play important roles in orchestrating the repair process. However, little is known about their effects on endothelial cell (EC) proliferation and neutrophil activity in subjects with hyperglycemia (HG).

Background: To study the correlation of neurological function in degenerative cervical myelopathy (DCM) patients with quantitative assessment of spinal cord compression and impairment by intraoperative ultrasound imaging (IOUSI).

Methods: Twenty-three patients who underwent French-Door laminoplasty for multilevel DCM were followed for 6 months. Modified Japanese Orthopaedic Association (mJOA) score and cervical MRI were assessed before surgery and at postoperative 6 months.

This study evaluated the changes of spatial distribution of the constructive species Stipa breviflora in the desert steppe under different grazing intensities (control, light, moderate, and heavy grazing) in Siziwang, Inner Mongolia. The small-scale spatial distribution of S. breviflora was measured.

The aim of the present study was to evaluate the diagnostic value of ultrasound (US) elastography in differentiating between benign and malignant peripheral lung lesions (PLLs). This retrospective study included 91 consecutive patients with 91 PLLs. Conventional US, strain elastography (SE), acoustic radiation force impulse imaging (ARFIimaging) and point share wave elastography (p-SWE) were performed.

TGF-β-induced epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) plays an important role in tumor progression. We assessed whether the TGF-β-induced EMT contributed to vasculogenic mimicry (VM) formation in glioma, we established an SHG44 cell line stably transfected with TGF-β cDNA loaded lentivirus. SB203580 was employed to inhibit the TGF-β-induced EMT.

Nuclear receptor binding protein 1 (NRBP1) is a highly conserved protein that is ubiquitously expressed across cell types in humans. NRBP1 has been recently identified as an adaptor protein. It has been suggested that it plays important roles in cellular homeostasis and the pathophysiology of cancer.

Objective: To determine T box expressed in T cells (T bet), GATA binding protein-3 (GATA 3), and retinoid-related orphan nuclear receptor gammat (RORgammat) in rats with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Methods: Thirty rats were randomly divided into a control and a COPD group. The COPD model was established through smoking and lipopolysaccharide (LPS) tracheal instillation.

The purpose of this study was to distinguish passive retention of microbubbles in liver sinusoids from active intracellular retaining, and to provide further evidence of post vascular liver specific phase of perflubutane microbubble contrast-enhanced ultrasound for potential use in the detection of focal liver lesions. Fifty-four rats were divided into three groups: saline group (G1, as a control, n=6), sulphur hexafluoride microbubble group (G2, n=24) and perflubutane microbubble group (G3, n=24). The livers were perfused at 2, 5, 10 and 20 min after injection of perflubutane or sulphur hexafluoride gas-filled microbubbles or normal saline.

We determined the ability of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) using perflubutane microbubbles to diagnose liver fibrosis and cirrhosis in rats using histology as the reference standard. Fibrosis was induced by oral administration of carbon tetrachloride to 32 Wistar rats. Features with baseline ultrasound (US) and enhancement level of liver and spleen with CEUS were obtained.

Caffeic acid phenethyl ester (CAPE) and caffeic acid (CA), two naturally occurring phenolic antioxidants, have been reported to have a diversity of biological activities. In this investigation, a novel approach to separate and enrich CAPE and CA from 25 species of mushrooms using molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) as the sorbent material is reported. The MIPs were synthesized using CAPE as the template, and its adsorption behavior was investigated in detail.

Objectives: Virtual Touch tissue quantification (VTQ) is a quantified ultrasound (US) acoustic radiation force impulse (ARFI) imaging method that provides numerical measurements (wave-velocity values) of tissue stiffness. The purpose of this study was to detect whether VTQ could be applied to differentiate between benign and malignant thyroid lesions.

Methods: Healthy subjects' thyroid tissue and thyroid lesions were examined by VTQ to analyze their elasticity after conventional ultrasound.
