Developing lightweight composite with reversible switching between microwave (MW) absorption and electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding is promising yet remains highly challenging due to the completely inconsistent attenuation mechanism for electromagnetic (EM) radiation. Here, a lightweight vanadium dioxide/expanded polymer microsphere composites foam (VO/EPM) is designed and fabricated with porous structures and 3D VO interconnection, which possesses reversible switching function between MW absorption and EMI shielding under thermal stimulation. The VO/EPM exhibits MW absorption with a broad effective absorption bandwidth of 3.

MXenes with unique physicochemical properties have shown substantial potential in electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding. However, the chemical instability and mechanical fragility of MXenes has become a major hurdle for their application. Abundant strategies have been dedicated to improving the oxidation stability of colloidal solution or mechanical properties of films, which always come at the expense of electrical conductivity and chemical compatibility.

Objective: To compare the in vitro fertilization/intracytoplasmic sperm injection (IVF/ICSI) cycle outcomes between patients with low and normal serum luteinizing hormone (LH) levels on the day after a gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist (GnRH-a) single trigger. We further investigated the efficacy of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) retrigger on IVF cycle outcomes in patients with low LH levels after GnRH-a single trigger.

Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 957 infertile patients (tubal factor, ovulation disorders, male sperm factor, or unexplained infertility) who were treated with IVF/ICSI at the Chengdu Xinan Gynecology Hospital from July 2017 to December 2020.

A simple and efficient sample extraction and preconcentration method based on reversed-phase ionic liquid dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction (RP-IL-DLLME) had been developed and used to quantify the domoic acid in human urine samples. The analysis was performed by ultra-performance liquid chromatography and photodiode array detection. During the procedure, hydrophilic ionic liquid 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate [Cmim] BF as dispersive solvent and NaOH solution was chosen as extraction solvent.

A novel improved preconcentration method known as synergistic cloud point extraction was established for isoquercitrin preconcentration and determination in rat plasma prior to its determination by high performance liquid chromatography. Synergistic cloud point extraction greatly simplified isoquercitrin extraction and detection. This method was accomplished at room temperature (about 22°C) in 1min with the nonionic surfactant Tergitol TMN-6 as the extractant, n-octanol as cloud point revulsant and synergic reagent.

A sensitive and efficient mixed cloud point extraction combined with high-performance liquid chromatography was developed for the simultaneous separation and determination of four alkaloids (strychnine, strychnine N-oxide, brucine, and brucine N-oxide) in plasma after the oral administration of processed semen strychni extract. Tergitol TMN-6 and cetyl-trimethyl ammonium bromide were chosen as the mixed surfactants, and ultrasound was employed to enhance the extraction efficiency. Some important parameters affecting the mixed cloud point extraction efficiency, such as the content of Tergitol TMN-6 and cetyl-trimethyl ammonium bromide, pH, salt effect, extraction temperature, and ultrasound time were studied and optimized.

Objective: To investigate the changes of creatine kinase-MB (CK-MB) and heat shock protein 60 (HSP 60) in rats without electric marks after electric injury, to identify the relationship of the CK-MB, HSP 60 and the time of electric injuries, and to evaluate the damage to cells after electric injury.

Methods: The animal model of electric injury without electric marks was established by alternating current (voltage 110 V). Automatic biochemistry analyzer was used to detect the serum CK-MB and immunohistochemical staining technology was used to analyze the tissues of myocardium and left lobe of liver.

Objective: To observe the inhibitiory effects of pretreatment with Buyanghuanwu decoction (BYHWT) on inflammatory cytokine expressions in the kidneys and the level of reactive oxygen species (ROS) by peripheral blood neutrophils of rats after induction of brain death (BD), and to investigate the effect of BYHWT on the improvement of kidney quality from BD donor.

Methods: 30 male Wistar rats were randomly divided into 3 groups: control group, BD model group and BYHWT group. 6 hours after successful onset of brain death, only the BD rats whose mean arterial blood pressure were higher than 80 mmHg were accepted as donors.

A new capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) method was developed to separate three chiral 2,3-dihydroxy-3-phenylpropionate enantiomers using neutral hydroxypropyl-beta-CD (HP-beta-CD) as chiral selector and borate as background electrolyte. The results showed that HP-beta-CD exhibited good enantioselectivity and high resolution was achieved under the optimum condition of pH 10.3, 200 mM borate buffer containing 6% methanol and 50 mM HP-beta-CD at 15 kV and 20 degrees C within 16 min.
