In this editorial, we comment on the article by Mu , published in the recent issue of the . We pay special attention to the immune tolerance mechanism caused by hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection, the pathogenesis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and the role of antiviral therapy in treating HCC related to HBV infection. HBV infection leads to systemic innate immune tolerance by directly inhibiting pattern recognition receptor recognition and antiviral signaling pathways, as well as by inhibiting the immune functions of macrophages, natural killer cells and dendritic cells.

Developing CCC inference methods using traditional experimental methods are time-consuming, labor-intensive, cannot handle large amounts of data. To facilitate inference of CCCs, we proposed a computational framework, called CellMsg, which involves two primary steps: identifying ligand-receptor interactions (LRIs) and measuring the strength of LRIs-mediated CCCs.

Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface (RIS) panels have garnered significant attention with the emergence of next-generation network technologies. This paper proposes a novel data-driven approach that leverages Light Detecting and Ranging (LiDAR) sensors to enhance user localization and beamforming in RIS-assisted networks. Integrating LiDAR sensors into the network will be instrumental, offering high-speed and precise 3D mapping capabilities, even in low light or adverse weather conditions.

In this study, we designed a nanoprodrug ISL@MIL-101-ADT to facilitate synergistic delivery of hydrogen sulfide (HS) and prodrug ISL for specific eradication of tumor cells with minimal toxicity and maximal efficacy. The nanoprodrug passively targeted tumors through enhanced permeation and retention effects, followed by disintegration and release of IR780, lonidamine (LND), and HS.

However, the changes in the gut microbiota and metabolites associated with CSD-induced anxiety/depression-like behavior in female mice have not been determined. Due to the influence of endogenous hormone levels, females are more susceptible than males to negative emotions caused by sleep deprivation.

However, identifying miRNAs, phasiRNAs and their target genes from numerous sequencing raw data requires multiple software and command-line operations, which are time-consuming and labor-intensive for non-model plants. Therefore, we present CsMPDB (miRNAs and phasiRNAs database of Camellia sinensis), an interactive web application with multiple analysis modules developed to visualize and explore miRNA and phasiRNA in tea plants based on 259 sRNA-seq samples and 24 degradome-seq samples in NCBI.

Additives leached from tire particles (TPs) after entering the marine environment inevitably interact with marine life. Marine heatwaves (MHWs) would play a more destructive role than ocean warming during the interaction of pollutants and marine life. To evaluate the potential risks of TPs leachate under MHWs, the physiological and nutrient metabolic endpoints of microalgae were observed for 7 days while being exposed to TPs leachate at current or predicted concentrations under MHWs.

Available therapeutic approaches for DR have their limitations. It is of great significance to search for other effective alternate therapeutic approaches.

Including 1, 2-propanediol (PDO) significantly promoted the gel-related properties of LBG/xanthan gels. The synergistic interaction between LBG and xanthan was enhanced with the presence of small amounts of PDO (≤ 20 %) due to the dehydration effect of PDO and the resulting promotion of the molecular association.

Adding ι-carrageenan decreased SPI particles' size in nano-scale, reduced hydrophobic interactions by suppressing exposure of hydrophobic groups, and increased the disulfide bonds in SPI. With rising ι-carrageenan content (< 0.

The novelty of this study lies in setting chain length as the sole variable to explore its impact on surface and adsorption energy. Based on the above findings, the study provides a unique explanation of the intrinsic relationship between chain length and tribological performance.

Autism spectrum disorder results from a combination of environmental and genetic factors. Hyperandrogenic exposure during pregnancy increases their risk of developing autism.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAtherosclerosis (AS) is a lipid-driven chronic inflammatory disease characterized by the presence of numerous proinflammatory cytokines, massive reactive oxygen species (ROS) and excess lipids, which together result in an overall inflammatory positive feedback loop in the plaque focus. Due to its excellent enzyme-like activity in ROS scavenging and inflammation inhibition, as well as its photothermal effects in the lipid efflux ability of foam cells, Prussian blue (PB) has greater potential in preventing inflammatory factor loops for enhanced treatment of AS than traditional nanozymes. In this study, the multifunctional nanozyme BSA@PB/Cur was synthesized by self-assembly of bovine serum albumin (BSA) with PB and further encapsulation of the anti-inflammatory drug curcumin (Cur).

Despite some progress in understanding hypoxia's effects, traditional methods' inherent limitations might overlook new biomarkers in mechanical asphyxia. This study employed 4D-DIA proteomics to explore the protein expression profiles of cardiac samples under conditions of mechanical asphyxia.
