Purpose: Posttraumatic growth (PTG) has been recognized as beneficial for the emotional well-being of cancer patients. However, the longitudinal relationship between PTG and emotional distress remains unclear and has rarely been investigated among patients undergoing neoadjuvant therapy. We investigated the linear and quadratic longitudinal associations between distress (depression, anxiety, and negative affect) and PTG in lung cancer patients undergoing neoadjuvant immunotherapy.

Objectives: To explore the mechanism by which (PSD) inhibits invasion and metastasis of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC).
Methods: The public databases were used to identify the potential targets of PSD and the invasion and metastasis targets of TNBC to obtain the intersection targets between PSD and TNBC. The "PSD-target-disease" interaction network was constructed and protein-protein interaction (PPI) analysis was performed to obtain the core targets, which were analyzed for KEGG pathway and GO functional enrichment.
Objectives: This study explored the clinical prognosis and lipidomics of hepatitis B virus steatohepatitic hepatocellular carcinoma (HBV-SHHCC) and aimed to identify a noninvasive and convenient method to diagnose this phenotype and guide treatment using MRI.
Methods: A total of 433 HBV-infected HCC patients were enrolled in this retrospective study. Survival data were analyzed using Cox regression analyses, and lipidomics was used to study HCC tissue composition.
Background: The global COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted critical concerns surrounding mental health. Social isolation measures, such as the quarantine of incoming travelers, are essential public health strategies for the prevention and control of infectious diseases. However, quarantine can lead to adverse psychological outcomes, including feelings of confinement, boredom, perceived scarcity of supplies and information, financial hardship, and social stigma.

Here, HFD increased intestinal deoxycholic acid (DCA) levels, and DCA further exacerbated colonic inflammation. Transcriptome analysis revealed that DCA triggered ferroptosis pathway in colitis mice.

Given the pivotal role of gut microbiota and their endogenous metabolites in IBD, we conducted a systematic review to investigate the potential of fecal microbiota and mucosal microbiota and endogenous metabolomic markers as predictors for biotherapy response in IBD patients. A total of 38 studies were included in the review.

Anti-tumour immunotherapy, represented by immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), possesses favorable remission in unrestricted spectrum of cancer types. However, its efficacy seems to be heterogeneous among accumulating studies.

Methods: 9, 096 pregnant women were recruited with their gene genotyped. 5,111 women underwent a 75-g oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) and 2,097 were confirmed with GDM.
Current antitumor monotherapy has many limitations, highlighting the need for novel synergistic anticancer strategies. Ferroptosis is an iron-dependent form of nonapoptotic cell death that plays a pivotal regulatory role in tumorigenesis and treatment. Photodynamic therapy (PDT) causes irreversible chemical damage to target lesions and is widely used in antitumor therapy.

The present study aims to examine the parallel mediating effects of posttraumatic growth and body image on the association between walking activity and emotional distress (anxiety and depression) among Chinese breast cancer survivors.
Methods: Chinese breast cancer survivors (n = 235) completed a cross-sectional questionnaire that assessed walking activity, anxiety, depression, posttraumatic growth, and body image over the past week.
Retirement has a heterogeneous impact depending on gender and occupation. This study aimed to analyze and evaluate the heterogeneity and potential mechanism of retirement on the biomedical risk factors for cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Physical examination data from 2017 to 2020 were extracted from a hospital database in Shanghai.

Emerging evidence has provided insights into iron deficiency and excess in CRC. Ferroptosis is an iron-dependent form of programmed cell death characterized by aberrant iron and lipid metabolism, which play crucial roles in tumorigenesis, tumor progression, and treatment options.

(1) Background: The psychological status of employees, especially vulnerable populations, has received considerable research attention. However, as a newly emerging and popular occupation in the gig industry, food delivery drivers have received little attention. The majority of these workers are immigrants who are already in a precarious position due to a lack of available jobs, inadequate medical care, poor diets, and communication and acculturation difficulties even before they take these jobs, which involve long working hours and exposure to the elements.

The aim of this study was to develop and compare the performances of three machine learning algorithms in predicting the risk of hypertension for residents in primary care in Shanghai, China.
Methods: A dataset of 40,261 subjects over the age of 35 years was extracted from Electronic Healthcare Records of 47 community health centers from 2017 to 2019 in the Pudong district of Shanghai.
Evidence has shown that lactate, an immune signaling molecule, is associated with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) progression and immune suppression. Therefore, identifying lactate metabolism-related molecules is a promising therapeutic strategy to inhibit the development of HCC and overcome chemotherapy resistance. Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are related to tumorigenesis and metastasis.

However, little is known about for which group of patients this buffering effect is most effective. Based on a cross-sectional study in patients with advanced lung cancer, the present study examined whether the moderating effect of physicians' communication skills on the association between physical symptoms and emotional distress would further depend on patients' perceived disease understanding.

It has been reported that PE is associated with abnormalities in the umbilical cord and cord blood. However, previous studies were focused primarily on the transcriptomics level, while the underlying gene regulatory landscapes are still unclear.

Therefore, we aimed to determine associations of the total screen/online-course time with asthenopia prevalence among that children during the COVID-19 pandemic, and whether the associations were mediated by psychological stress. Asthenopia was defined according to a validated computer vision syndrome questionnaire (CVS-Q).

Using an established eustress model, we demonstrate that mice living in an enriched environment (EE) are protected from carcinogen-induced liver neoplasia and transplantable syngeneic liver tumors, owning to a CD8 T cell-dependent tumor control. We identify a peripheral Neuro-Endocrine-Immune pathway in eustress, including Sympathetic nervous system (SNS)/β-adrenergic receptors (β-ARs)/CCL2 that relieves tumor immunosuppression and overcomes PD-L1 resistance to immunotherapy.

However, little is known about how public health measures may improve people's positive attitudes during a pandemic. We investigated the potential mechanism underlying the association between individuals' perceived effectiveness of public health measures and positive attitudes towards the success of pandemic control during the COVID-19 pandemic, by examining the parallel mediating effects of three types of threat appraisals: concerns about contracting the virus, perceived impact of the pandemic on life and estimated duration of the pandemic.
