Effects of Natural Sound Therapy on Pain and Agitation Induced by Endotracheal Suctioning: A Real-World Study.

Background: Music therapy has been used as a complementary intervention to provide synergistic analgesia for various procedures.

Objective: To evaluate the effects of natural sound therapy on pain intensity and agitation scores in intubated adult Chinese patients who received endotracheal suctioning in a critical care unit.

Methods: A prospective, real-world, randomized, double-blind, controlled study was conducted from July 2021 through February 2022 among intubated surgical intensive care unit patients in a Chinese hospital.

Effect of perioperative acupuncture-assisted general anesthesia on the anesthetic dosage required in adult surgical patients: a network meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials.

Objective: To determine the comparative effects of acupuncture and related techniques-assisted general anesthesia (GA) on the total dosage of main anesthetic drugs administered during surgery.

Methods: The following data bases were searched on June 30, 2022: Embase, Cochrane, PubMed, Web of Science, CBM, CNKI, WANFANG and VIP to find randomized controlled trials (RCTs). A random-effects Bayesian network meta-analysis and subgroup analysis were employed.
