Background: There is a lack of health economics studies on the treatment of acute lower extremity deep venous thrombosis to measure the benefits to patients. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of anticoagulation (AC), percutaneous mechanical thrombectomy (PMT), and catheter-directed thrombolysis (CDT).
Methods: The above 3 methods were selected according to the patient's treatment wishes.
Background: Autologous arteriovenous fistulae (AVFs) are the best type of vascular access in patients with kidney failure. However, the conventional technique has a high failure rate. We performed a randomised controlled trial to investigate whether the no-touch technique has a higher maturation and patency rate than that of the conventional technique for creating AVFs.

The objective of this study is to develop a prognosis prediction model for patients with liver cancer based on PUFA-related metabolic gene characteristics.
Method: Transcriptome data and clinical data were obtained from public databases, while gene sets related to PUFAs were acquired from the gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA) database.
Purpose: This study aimed to assess the efficacy and safety outcome of covered stents (CSs), as compared with bare-metal stents (BMSs), for the treatment of patients with aortoiliac occlusive disease (AIOD).
Materials And Methods: A systematic literature search was conducted in PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library up to August 2023 to identify all studies comparing efficacy and safety outcomes of CSs versus BMSs for treating AIOD. Our outcome was primary patency, secondary patency, technical success, ankle-brachial index (ABI) variation, target lesion revascularization (TLR), limb salvage, complications, and long-term survival.
The pathogenesis of Acute-on-chronic liver failure (ACLF) involves several forms of cell death, such as pyroptosis, apoptosis, and necroptosis, which consist of PANoptosis. To explore PANoptosis as a regulated cell death pathway in ACLF. Firstly, a bioinformatic strategy was used to observe the role of the PANoptosis pathway in ACLF and identify differentially expressed genes related to PANoptosis.

This study aims to evaluate the diagnostic value of NLR and PLR for patients with DVT. Our meta-analysis included 11 eligible studies and extracted relevant diagnostic indicators.

Patients And Methods: The clinical characteristics and karyotypes of 26 patients with S-AML were retrospectively analyzed.
Background: A large body of evidence has linked air pollution and temperature with chronic kidney disease (CKD) prevalence and hospitalizations. However, most studies have focused on the influence of heat stress on CKD prevalence, and the potential effect modification of temperature on the association between air pollution and CKD has not been well-investigated. In this study, we examined the associations of the whole temperature spectrum and air pollution with CKD-related hospital visits and explored whether temperature modifies the short-term association of air pollution with CKD-related hospital visits.

Although the survival rate of hematological malignancies (HM) has increased in recent years, the unnecessary adverse effect to the body is usually generated by the traditional chemotherapy for HM due to the lack of specificity to tumor tissue. Nanodrug delivery systems have exhibited unique advantages in targetability, stability and reducing toxicity, attracting wide concern, which is expected to be the prevalent alternative for the treatment of HM. In this review, we systemically introduced the current therapeutic strategies and the categories of HM.

However, true lumen collapse in chronic type B aortic dissection (cTBAD) patients is rare, with few clinical or experimental studies to date having explored the causes of such collapse.
Case Summary: In the present report, we describe a rare case of true-lumen collapse in an 83-year-old patient diagnosed with cTBAD, and we discuss potential therapeutic interventions for such cases.
Background: Sclerostin, a regulator of bone metabolism and vascular calcification involved in regulating the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway, has been shown to be involved in the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). However, current results regarding the circulating sclerostin level of RA patients are debatable. This study aimed to evaluate the circulating level of sclerostin in RA patients and briefly summarize its role.

Objective: The comprehensive DNA methylation-transcriptome profiles association analysis in this study aimed to establish whole-genome DNA methylation profiles and explore DNA methylation-related genes and their potential functions before and after treatment.

Aim: Fuyang Jiedu Huayu (FYJDHY) granules are a combination of five traditional Chinese medicines with known therapeutic effects against chronic liver failure (CLF). The aim of the present study was to investigate the efficacy of FYJDHY to ameliorate the effects of carbon tetrachloride- (CCl4-) induced CLF in rats and to explore the possible molecular mechanisms underlying its therapeutic efficacy.
Methods: A model of chronic liver failure was established by intraperitoneal injection of 50% carbon tetrachloride into SD rats for 8 weeks.
Basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) plays an important role in the pathogenesis of acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Whether the levels of circulating bFGF are increased or not in untreated AML patients is still not clear. In order to acquire a more definite evaluation, a meta-analysis was performed.

Current studies have found that VEGF plays an important role in hematologic diseases including acute myeloid leukemia (AML). However, the circulating levels of VEGF in AML were still controversial among published studies.

The present study aimed to estimate association between BLK loci and SLE clinical features in Chinese population. Associations between BLK single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and susceptibility to SLE in this study were estimated using data of 1205 health controls previously reported in the same population.

Therefore, preventing and reversing an abnormal LRM is a potential therapeutic strategy against HCC. Studies are increasingly focusing on the impact of regeneration, fibrosis, angiogenesis, inflammation, immunomodulation, and hepatic stem cells on HCC development and progression.

The aim of the present study was to explore whether single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) within HSP90AA1 gene affect the response of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patients to GCs treatment. Two hundred and forty-five SLE patients were treated with GCs (prednisone) for 12 weeks.

The treatment of AML consists of two treatment phases: the remission induction phase to achieve a rapid, complete remission (CR) and the consolidation phase to achieve a durable molecular remission. People in CR are at risk of AML relapse, and people with relapsed AML have poor survival prospects.

In our previous study, we found that glucocorticoid receptor (GR) gene genetic polymorphisms may play a major role in the efficacy of glucocorticoids (GCs) in Chinese systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patients. The aim of this study is to explore the association of GR gene genetic polymorphisms and improvement of health-related quality of life (HRQOL) in Chinese SLE patients treated with GCs. This study aimed to identify the phenotype and function of renal mononuclear phagocytes (rMPs) expressing key markers of both Mфs and DCs. F4/80(+)CD11c(+) cells accounted for 45% of total rMPs in normal kidneys and in those from mice with Adriamycin nephropathy (AN).

Despite many studies on the correlation between Tregs accumulation and age, or malignancies, the related mechanism hasn't been well explored. To find out the mechanism of Tregs accumulation in aged urinary bladder cancer, we examined the novel cellular senesence gene SENEX and relevant apoptosis gene mRNA expression in sorted CD4+CD25(hi) Tregs from aged UBC donors, evaluated serum cytokine profiles related to tumor immunopathology, and further explored the relationship between SENEX expression, apoptosis gene expression and cytokine secretion.
