Parkinson's disease (PD) is the second most common neurodegenerative disease characterized by selective loss of dopaminergic neurons. We previously found that inhibition of von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) can alleviate dopaminergic neuron degeneration in PD models via regulation of mitochondrial homeostasis, however, the disease-related alterations of VHL and the regulatory mechanisms of VHL level in PD need to be further investigated. In this study, we found that the levels of VHL were markedly increased in multiple cell models of PD and identified microRNA-143-3p (miR-143-3p) as a promising candidate for regulating VHL expression involved in PD.

But it has rarely been studied in rice abiotic stress, including the drought tolerance, which is becoming one of the most important threaten in decreasing rice yield. Therefore, it is essential to studying the mechanism underlying heterosis in improving drought tolerance of rice breeding.

In this paper, to explore the effect of different loading directions on the phase transformation of magnesium alloy, the model of AZ31 magnesium alloy was established, the process of Uniaxial Compression (UC) of magnesium alloy in different directions was simulated, the changes of atomic position and phase structure were observed, and the phase transformation mechanism of AZ31 magnesium alloy under uniaxial compression under different loading directions was summarized. The conclusions are as follows: the stress and strain, potential energy and volume change, void evolution, phase structure change and dislocation evolution of magnesium alloy are consistent, and there is no significant difference.

Thus, membrane receptor-mediated signalling pathways not only contribute to the efficacy of the drugs but also play a crucial role in the metabolic elimination of peptide drugs. Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor is the crucial target for type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Cardiac fibroma is a rare disease, and surgical resection generally remains the treatment of choice for these tumors in children. However, open surgery for some patients has to be rejected due to high risk. Here, we report a case of somewhat successful radiofrequency ablation of a huge left ventricular fibroma in a 3-year-old asymptomatic child.

Objectives: Achromobacter spanius is a newly described, non-fermenting, Gram-negative, coccoid pathogen isolated from human blood. Whole-genome sequencing of the A. spanius type strain was performed to investigate the mechanism of pathogenesis of this strain at a genomic level.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAchromobacter insolitus is a newly described, Gram-negative, small (1-2 mm long) and coccoid pathogen that has been isolated from leg wound. Due to its potential threat to human beings, the type strain of this species LMG 6003T was completely sequenced in this study. The genomic analysis revealed that the genome of LMG 6003T consists of one circular DNA chromosome of 6 492 697 bp with a GC content of 65.

Screening hybrid rice combinations with high special combining ability (SCA) is able to breed strong superiority combinations with practical values. In this study, the genetic distances (GD) of nine three-line hybrid rice (5 CMS lines and 4 restorer lines) were examined using SSR markers.
