Combustion Synthesis of Nanostructured ZrC: Formation Process and Influencing Factors.

ZrC was produced by the combustion synthesis technology using Cu, Zr, and graphite as the starting element powders. The synthesis mechanism of ZrC was investigated by the combustion wave quenching experiment. Furthermore, the effects of sizes of C and Cu on the combustion synthesis behavior and products were also explored.

A servo controlled gradient loading triaxial model test system for deep-buried cavern.

A servo controlled gradient loading model test system is developed to simulate the gradient geostress in deep-buried cavern. This system consists of the gradient loading apparatus, the digital servo control device, and the measurement system. Among them, the gradient loading apparatus is the main component which is used for exerting load onto the model.

Model test of anchoring effect on zonal disintegration in deep surrounding rock masses.

The deep rock masses show a different mechanical behavior compared with the shallow rock masses. They are classified into alternating fractured and intact zones during the excavation, which is known as zonal disintegration. Such phenomenon is a great disaster and will induce the different excavation and anchoring methodology.
