Bicyclic polyprenylated acylphloroglucinol-related meroterpenoids as potent DRAK2 inhibitors from Hypericum patulum.

As a both edible and medicinal plant, Hypericum patulum (Hypericaceae) is used as a natural herbal tea, scented tea, and folk medicine. In this study, eight undescribed bicyclic polyprenylated acylphloroglucinol-related meroterpenoids named hyperpatins A-H, along with eight known ones, were isolated from this plant. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic techniques, chemical method, X-ray crystallographic experiments, and electronic circular dichroism analyses.

, commonly known as Dong Quai in Europe and America and as Dang-gui in China, is a medicinal plant widely utilized for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis. In this study, we report the discovery of a new category of phthalide from , namely falcarinphthalides A and B ( and ), which contains two fragments, (3,8)-falcarindiol () and ()-ligustilide (). Falcarinphthalides A and B ( and ) represent two unprecedented carbon skeletons of phthalide in natural products, and their antiosteoporotic activities were evaluated.

[Cultivation of in Digested Piggery Wastewater Pretreated by SBR with Operating Conditions Optimization].

Digested piggery wastewater(DPW) contains high concentrations of nitrogen and phosphorus which could be used as a cost-effective culture medium for . However, would be limited by many factors in the complex composition of DPW, especially the high concentration of ammonium. In this paper, a traditional sequencing batch reactor(SBR) was used to remove these inhibitors in DPW.
