While polyphenolic substances stand as excellent antibacterial agents, their antimicrobial properties rely on the auxiliary support of micro-/nanostructures. Despite offering a novel avenue for enhancing polymer performance, controllable fabrication of mesoporous polymeric nanomaterials encounters significant challenges due to intricate intermolecular forces. In this article, mesoporous catechin nanoparticles have been successfully fabricated using a balanced multivariate interaction approach.

Managing chronic non-healing wounds presents a significant clinical challenge due to their frequent bacterial infections. Mesoporous silica-based materials possess robust wound-healing capabilities attributed to their renowned antimicrobial properties. The current study details the advancement of mesoporous silicon-loaded MnO and CaO molecules (HMn-Ca) against bacterial infections and chronic non-healing wounds.

Microscopic phytoplankton segmentation is an important part of water quality assessment. The segmentation of microscopic phytoplankton still faces challenges for computer vision, such as being affected by background impurities and requiring a large number of manual annotation. In this paper, the characteristics of phytoplankton emitting fluorescence under excitation light were utilized to segment and annotate phytoplankton contours by fusing fluorescence images and bright field images.

Delirium is a common postoperative complication of patients with hip fracture, yet the risk factors for postoperative delirium in patients with hip fracture remain unclear. We aimed to evaluate the associated risk factors of postoperative delirium in patients with hip fracture, to provide evidence for formulating coping measures of postoperative delirium prevention and treatment in clinical practice.Patients undergoing surgery for hip fracture from March 1, 2018 to September 30, 2020 in our hospital were included.

Background: The use of physical restraint has been a common phenomenon in clinical practice. However, the current status of physical restraints in intensive care unit (ICU) patients and related potential factors in China remains unclear. We aimed to evaluate the status of physical restraint use of patients in ICU, and to identify the potential factors affecting the physical restraint use.

The KSO assisted photocatalytic system was applied for treating refractory petrochemical wastewater. Co-TiO/zeolite catalyst synthesized by sol-gel method was demonstrated to possess a good activity towards mineralization of the refractory petrochemical wastewater in the KSO assisted photocatalytic system. Orthogonal design was employed to optimize the reaction parameters, according to the results, KSO dosage was the most prominent impact factor.

In this work, an amino modified porous ceramic derived from municipal sludge was synthesized for the adsorption of vanadium (V) from wastewater. In this approach, a maximum vanadium (V) removal of 99.8% can be achieved by using 800 g adsorbent with a height of 800 mm when the initial concentration of vanadium (V) was 50 mg/L, pH was 4, flow rate was 5 L/h.

Objective: To observe the protective effects of safflor Injection (SI) and extract of Ginkgo biloba (EGB) on lung ischemia-reperfusion injury (LIRI) and investigate its mechanism.

Methods: In vivo rabbit model of LIRI was reconstructed. Forty rabbits were randomly and equally divided into four groups: sham-operation group (sham group), ischemia-reperfusion group (model group), ischemia-reperfusion plus SI group (safflor group) and ischemia-reperfusion plus EGB injection group (EGB group).
