Fabrication of sustainable bio-based malleable thermosets (BMTs) with excellent mechanical properties and reprocessing ability for applications in electronic devices has attracted more and more attention but remains significant challenges. Herein, the BMTs with excellent mechanical robustness and reprocessing ability were fabricated via integrating with radical polymerization and Schiff-base chemistry, and employed as the flexible substrate to prepare the capacitive sensor. To prepare the BMTs, an elastic bio-copolymer derived from plant oil and 5-hydroxymethylfurfural was first synthesized, and then used to fabricate the dynamic crosslinked BMTs through Schiff-base chemistry with the amino-modified cellulose and polyether amine.

Lactate is a common substrate for enhancing microbial dechlorination, but its effect on abiotic Fe(II)-driven reductive dechlorination is largely ignored. In this study, the structure-reactivity relationship of Fe(II) is investigated by regulating the ratio of lactate:Fe(II).

Amino acids play an essential role in mammary gland development and milk production, and sodium-coupled neutral amino acid transporter 2 (SNAT2) was reported to be expressed in the mammary gland of rats and bovine mammary epithelial cells, which may affect the synthesis of milk proteins or mammary cell proliferation by mediating prolactin, 17β-estradiol (E) or methionine function. However, whether SNAT2 mediates the regulatory effects of E and P on the development of the ruminant mammary gland is still unclear.

CMC relies on the maintenance of the complete biological structure of a membrane receptor; however, it needs to be further improved to obtain a more convenient and stable CMC model. In the present study, the haloalkane dehalogenase protein tag (HALO-tag) technology was used to construct a new MrgX2/CMC model.

In this work, the dynamic change of Fe(II,III) (oxyhydr)oxides at the same time scale is simulated by synthesizing Fe(III)-Fe(II)-I (Fe(III)+NaOH+Fe(II)+NaOH) with different Fe(II)/Fe(III) ratios. CCl is used as a convenient probe to test the reduction kinetics of mixed valence Fe(II,III)(oxyhydr)oxides with different Fe(II):Fe(III) ratios.

Here, we fabricate a multimode microring resonator with an intrinsic Q of 6 × 10, which exhibits a propagation loss 50 times lower than that of a single-mode LN microring fabricated under the same process. Notably, the excitation of higher-order modes in the multimode microring is effectively suppressed by utilizing the Euler bend.

In this paper, lipase and xylanase were used to pretreat wheat straw and the effects of different enzyme types and enzyme dosage on the microstructure and pulp properties of wheat straw were investigated and experimented. The results showed that the lipase can remove fat and wax on the surface of wheat straw, while xylanase degraded the hemicellulose components, such as xylan, of wheat straw fiber, destroyed the structure of the lignin-carbohydrate complex, increasing lignin removal as a result and enhancing the impregnating, diffusion and penetration of alkali.

The groundwater environment often undergoes the transition from anoxic to oxic due to natural processes or human activities, but the influence of this transition on the fate of groundwater contaminates are not entirely understood. In this work, the degradation of tribromophenol (TBP) in the presence of environmentally relevant iron (oxyhydr)oxides (green rust, GR) and trace metal ions Cu(II) under anoxic/oxic-alternating conditions was investigated. Under anoxic conditions, GR-Cu(II) reduced TBP to 4-BP completely within 7 h while GR only had an adsorption effect on TBP.
