(Hetero)polyaryl amines are extensively prevalent in pharmaceuticals, fine chemicals, and materials but the intricate and varied nature of their structures severely restricts their synthesis. Here, we present a selective multicomponent cycloaromatization of structurally and functionally diverse amine substrates for the general and modular synthesis of (hetero)polyaryl amines through copper(I)-catalysis. This strategy directly constructs a remarkable range of amino group-functionalized (hetero)polyaryl frameworks (194 examples), including naphthalene, binaphthalene, phenanthren, benzothiophene, dibenzothiophene, benzofuran, dibenzofuran, quinoline, isoquinoline, quinazoline, and others, which are challenging or impossible to obtain using alternative methods.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a frequent malignancy that has a high death rate and a high rate of recurrence following surgery, owing to insufficient surgical resection. Furthermore, HCC is prone to peritoneal metastasis (HCC-PM), resulting in a significant number of tiny cancer lesions, making surgical removal more challenging. As a potential imaging target, FGFR4 is highly expressed in tumors, especially in HCC, but is less expressed in the normal liver.

  • There is a strong connection between inflammation and cancer development, making it important to observe and understand both processes in living organisms.
  • A new advanced NIR chemiluminescence probe has been developed that is highly selective, sensitive at very low concentrations, and able to quickly detect inflammation and tumors.
  • This probe has been effectively used to image inflammation in various models, suggesting that chemiluminescence imaging could improve our understanding of how cancer and inflammation interact and aid in creating targeted therapies.

  • The study investigates the relationship between androgen receptor CAG repeat polymorphism and the risk of polycystic ovarian morphology in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) based on new guidelines.
  • Blood samples from 109 PCOS patients and 61 controls were analyzed to assess the length of CAG repeats in the AR gene and categorized based on antral follicle counts.
  • Results showed that women with lower CAG repeat lengths were more likely to have a higher count of antral follicles, suggesting that lower CAG length may increase the risk of polycystic ovarian morphology.

Background: The pathogen of angiostrongyliasis is the parasite and the transcriptome profiling of the male adult was unclear. We aimed to understand how the male adults adapt, so the expression profile of adult males was analyzed.

Methods: In order to improve the understanding of the transcriptome of adult males, RNA from three groups of male adult was extracted and reverse transcribed to construct cDNA libraries.

Personalized recommendation has been increasingly used in online shopping environment, and improving the effectiveness of personalized recommendation is an important issue. On the basis of two-stage decision theory and preference inconsistency theory, our study adopted the neuroscientific methodology of event-related potential to investigate the decision-making process and psychological mechanism of consumers for personalized recommendation under different recommendation timings (browsing and decision stages) and recommended product types (similar and related). Behavioral results showed that consumers' acceptance of similar product recommendations was higher than that of related product recommendations during the browsing stage, whereas no difference was observed in consumers' acceptance of the two product types during the decision stage.

Background: When researchers perform gene family analysis, they often analyze the structural characteristics of the gene, such as the distribution of introns and exons. At the same time, characteristic structural analysis of amino acid sequence is also essential, for example, motif and domain features. Researchers often integrate these analyses into one image to dig out more information, but the tools responsible for this integration are lacking.

Dioscin is a natural product that possesses protective effects on multiple chronic injuries, but its effects on asthma are not fully understood. Herein, we evaluated its effects on asthmatic mice established by ovalbumin (OVA) sensitization and challenges and further explored the mechanism. Inflammatory cells in bronchoalveolar lavage fluids (BALFs) were analyzed using Diff-Quik staining.

Selective condensation/bicycloaromatization of two different arylalkynes is firstly developed under ligand-free copper(i)-catalysis, which allows the direct synthesis of C-N axial biaryl compounds in high yields with excellent selectivity and functional group tolerance. Due to the critical effects of Cu(i) catalyst and HFIP, many easily occurring undesired reactions are suppressed, and the coupled five-six aromatic rings are constructed the selective formation of two C(sp)-N(sp) bonds and four C(sp)-C(sp) bonds. The achievement of moderate enantioselectivity verifies its potential for the simplest asymmetric synthesis of atropoisomeric biaryls.

The direct biological treatment of antibiotics containing wastewater brings about a potential risk of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) spread. Although advanced oxidation technologies based on photocatalysis generally appear effective at degrading antibiotics in wastewater, the fate of ARGs in succeeding biological treatment system is still unknown. Herein, a filter-membrane-like carbon cloth-immobilized FeO/g-CN photocatalyst is fabricated through immersion-calcination method.

High-dimensional data are pervasive in this bigdata era. To avoid the curse of the dimensionality problem, various dimensionality reduction (DR) algorithms have been proposed. To facilitate systematic DR quality comparison and assessment, this paper reviews related metrics and develops an open-source Python package pyDRMetrics.

Vanadium-chromium reducing residue was not only a typical solid waste in the steel industry but also a valuable secondary source for recovery of vanadium and chromium. A highly efficient oxidative-alkaline-leaching technology with NaSO was applied in this work. The effect of experimental factors including m(NaOH)/m(Residue), liquid-to-solid ratio, reaction temperature, m(NaSO)/m(Residue) and reaction time, on the leaching process were investigated.

Oxidative-alkaline leaching of vanadium from vanadium-chromium-reducing residues with KCrO was investigated in this paper. The effects of processing parameters including dosage of NaOH, dosage of KCrO, reaction time, and reaction temperature on the leaching efficiency of vanadium were studied. The results simulated by response surface methodology indicated that vanadium leaching was affected significantly by the dosage of KCrO and NaOH, and the processing parameters that affected the leaching efficiency of vanadium followed the order (NaOH)/(residue) > (KCrO)/sssss(residue) > reaction temperature > reaction time.

The vanadium (V) and chromium (VI) was hard to separate directly due to the similar nature. In this paper, separation and recovery of vanadium (V) and chromium (VI) from a leaching solution was investigated by adsorption of vanadium (V) with melamine, followed by electro-reduction of chromium (VI) and adsorption of chromium (III) with melamine, respectively. The effects of experimental parameters including dosage of melamine, reaction temperature and reaction time on the adsorption process were investigated.

Oxidative C-C/P-H cross-coupling is achieved via Pd-catalyzed decarbonylative cross-coupling of aroylhydrazides with P(O)H compounds. The unique cooperative reaction system, especially the Brønsted acid and bidentate phosphine ligand, allows the selective activation of the inert C-C bond and the suppression of the undesired oxidation and coordination of >P(O)-H compounds, leading to a general oxidative synthesis of aryl phosphorus compounds from easily available substrates.
