This is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled phase 3 clinical trial (ClinicalTrials.gov, NCT04878016) conducted in 54 hospitals in China. Adults who were histologically diagnosed and never treated for extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC) were enrolled.

Between February 2021 and February 2023, 247 eligible patients with AAMI after primary percutaneous coronary intervention (pPCI) were enrolled and randomly assigned (1∶1) to receive CDDP ( = 126) or placebo ( = 121), with a follow-up of 48 weeks. Compared with the placebo group, the CDDP group demonstrated a significant increase in left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) values after 24 weeks of the treatment (least squares mean: 3.

The synergistic application of calcium (Ca) and magnesium (Mg) was investigated to mitigate cadmium (Cd) uptake and translocation in rice grown in Cd-contaminated soil. A pot experiment was conducted using different Ca:Mg molar ratios (Ca1:Mg2, Ca2:Mg1, and Ca1:Mg1) to evaluate their effect on Cd uptake. The results showed that the Ca1:Mg1 treatment achieved the highest reduction in grain Cd content (54.

Pyrotinib, a novel pan-HER tyrosine kinase inhibitor, has demonstrated substantial anti-tumor activity in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients harboring HER2 mutations. However, the inevitable resistance to pyrotinib necessitates an in-depth understanding of the underlying mechanisms. In this study, potential resistance-associated mutations were identified through genomic sequencing of clinically paired samples and were validated using in vitro and in vivo models.

However, achieving effective cellular engagement during nerve remodeling remains challenging. Herein, a novel composite nerve guidance conduit (NGC), the GelMA/PLys@PDA-Fe@PLCL conduit is developed by combining aligned poly(l-lactide-co-caprolactone) (PLCL) nanofibers modified with polydopamine (PDA), ferrous iron (Fe⁺), and polylysine (PLys) with aligned methacrylate-anhydride gelatin (GelMA) hydrogel nanofibers.

Neuroendocrine tumor (NET) is a deadly malignancy disease that can be found anywhere in the body. The lack of tumor-specific treatment led to the worse prognosis of NET. Anaplastic lymphoma kinase-tyrosine kinase inhibitors (ALK-TKIs), such as alectinib and crizotinib, have been used in the treatment of NET patients with ALK rearrangement.

Rice () produces phenolamides and diterpenoids as major phytoalexins. Although the biosynthetic pathways of phenolamides and diterpenoids in plants have been revealed, knowledge of their accumulation regulatory mechanisms remains limited, and, in particular, no co-regulatory factor has been identified to date. Here, using a combined co-expression and evolutionary analysis, we identified the basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factor as a positive bifunctional regulator of phenolamide and diterpenoid biosynthesis in rice.

The emergence of metasurfaces opens up the possibility of implementing highly integrated full-Stokes imagers. Despite rapid development, prevailing schemes on metasurface-based full-Stokes imagers require interleaved or cascaded designs, inevitably resulting in performance deterioration, bulky size, and complicating the imaging procedure due to misalignment.

Malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM) is the most common type in all malignant mesothelioma. The onset of MPM is associated with exposure to asbestos and it can have an incubation period of up to 40 years.

We report the final analysis of PEARL.
Methods: Adults (N = 669) with previously untreated stage IV mNSCLC were randomized (1:1) to durvalumab 20 mg/kg every four weeks or chemotherapy every three weeks for four to six cycles.
Introduction: Ivonescimab is a humanized IgG1 bispecific anti-programmed cell death protein 1/vascular endothelial growth factor antibody. This study aimed to evaluate the safety and tolerance of ivonescimab combined with etoposide and carboplatin as first-line treatment in patients with extensive-stage SCLC and to explore the primary efficacy of this regimen.
Methods: Eligible patients received intravenous ivonescimab 3 mg/kg, 10 mg/kg, or 20 mg/kg every 3 weeks combined with etoposide and carboplatin for up to four cycles, followed by ivonescimab as maintenance.
Species of Malassezia are lipid-dependent yeasts and integral components of the skin microbiome. Most of the currently known species are isolated from mammals. However, the presence and distribution of Malassezia yeasts on the skin of avian species have not been fully understood or elucidated.

Methods: To investigate the role of CHK1 on mitochondrial function following I/R injury, cardiomyocyte-specific knockout/overexpression mouse models were generated.
Oleogels have attracted considerable attention due to their excellent viscoelasticity and high content of polyunsaturated fatty acid. This study explored the potential of Zein/(-)-epigallocatechin-3-gallate/Ca complexes oleogels loaded with lycopene as potential substitute for solid fats in biscuit formulations. Utilizing an emulsion-templated method, oleogels were prepared and characterized for visual appearance, droplet size, microstructure, and rheological properties.
