Background: Patients with continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) have high all-cause mortality risk that varies extensively among different conditions. The objective of this study was to develop and validate risk models to predict the 2-year all-cause mortality risks of CAPD patients.
Material And Methods: A total of 1354 patients who received CAPD treatment > 3 months from a single dialysis centre were enrolled into the study from January 1, 2006 to December 31, 2011 and followed up until June 30, 2013.
Aims/hypothesis: The contribution of aberrantly expressed microRNAs (miRNAs) to diabetic nephropathy in vivo is poorly understood.
Methods: Integrated comparative miRNA array profiling was used to examine the expression of serum miRNAs in patients with diabetic nephropathy. The abundance of miRNA-135a (miR-135a) was measured by real-time quantitative PCR in the serum and kidney tissues of patients with diabetic nephropathy.
A simple, reusable and ultrasensitive electrochemical clinic immunoassay is proposed via developing a versatile CTDONG (conductive three-dimensional ordered nano-gold) film-modified gold electrode, in which ferrocene derivative and human immunoglobulin G (hIgG) are used as signaling probe and model molecule, respectively. A signal-on signaling mechanism is achieved by utilizing a sandwich format of the primary antibody/hIgG/the secondary antibody labeled with Ferrocene (PAb/Ag/SAb). Owing to the combination of the advantages of CTDONG film with the versatility of ferrocene derivatives, a substantially enhanced signal accompanied by a low background peak current is achieved.
