As a remote and non-contact stimulus, light offers the potential for manipulating the polarization of ferroelectric materials without physical contact. However, in current research, the non-contact write-read (erase) process lacks direct observation through the stable current as output signal. To address this limitation, we investigated the photoinduced polarization switching capabilities of the cyanide-bridged compound [FeCo] using visible light, leading to the achievement of rewritable polarization.

Nonlinear optical (NLO) crystals are widely applied in information technology, micro-manufacturing and medical treatment. Herein, a new lead mixed halide with strong second-harmonic generation (SHG) response, Cs Pb (CH COO) Br I , has been designed and rationally synthesized. Cs Pb (CH COO) Br I represents the rare NLO crystal featuring that three different anions (I , Br and O ) simultaneously coordinate the Pb(II) atom to form a severely distorted [PbBr I O ] polyhedron with a large polarizability.

The discovery of new nonlinear optical (NLO) crystals with excellent properties is in urgently demand because of their ability to generate coherent light. Herein, we report an unique NLO lead bromide formate, KCs [Pb Br (HCOO) ], which has been synthesized by a mix-solvothermal method. KCs [Pb Br (HCOO) ] exhibits strong phase-matching second-harmonic generation (SHG) response (6.

Nonlinear-optical (NLO) crystal is an important photoelectric functional material. In this work, a new NLO titanium iodate, (HO)Ti(IO), along with Ti(IO) has been synthesized under facile conditions. The space group of (HO)Ti(IO) is the chiral noncentrosymmetric group 3 (No.

Nonlinear optical (NLO) crystals are the key component in solid-state lasers. New second-harmonic generation (SHG) effective halides, Cs Pb (CH COO) X (X=I, Br), have been rationally synthesized by introducing acetate groups into lead halide perovskites under moderate solvothermal conditions. Cs Pb (CH COO) X (X=I, Br) feature highly oriented anionic chains constructed by distorted [PbX O ] (X=I, Br) polyhedrons.

Two new isostructural non-centrosymmetric cerium iodates KCe(IO) (x≈ 3) and LaCe(IO) (x≈ 0.3) were synthesized via a hydrothermal method and systematically characterized. They are intermediate valence compounds with the same band gap, showing similar microscopic net dipole moments per unit volume, but different macroscopic second-harmonic generation (SHG) responses under 1064 nm laser irradiation.
