This study established a pyroptosis injury model by stimulating insulinoma cells(INS-1) of rats with high glucose(HG) and observed the impact of additional ethanol(ET) exposure on cell pyroptosis, as well as the intervention effect of salidroside(SAL). INS-1 cells were cultured and divided into a normal control group(NG), an HG group, an HG + ET(100 mmol·L~(-1)) group, and an HG + ET + SAL(1-100 μmol·L~(-1)) group. After 72 hours of treatment, cell viability was assessed using the cell counting kit-8(CCK-8) assay.

Background: Exploring the effectiveness and safety of n-butyl-2-cyanoacrylate (NBCA) in the transarterial embolization for common endoleak during and after endovascular repair of aortic aneurysm (EVAR).

Methods: A total of 226 patients with abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) were treated with EVAR in 4 years from August 2019 to February 2023, including 46 patients with ruptured aneurysms (rAAA). 37 cases, 28 nonruptured AAA patients and 9 rAAA patients, developed endoleak during EVAR surgery and follow-up period and were then treated with NBCA for transarterial embolization.

Objectives: This study explores the clinical application value of medical adhesive in endovascular embolization treatment of peripheral pseudoaneurysm.

Material And Methods: This was a retrospective review on 31 patients with peripheral pseudoaneurysm treated with medical adhesive endovascular embolization at the First Affiliated Hospital of Shihezi University from July 2021 to July 2023. Follow-up for 3-6 months was to observe the clinical efficacy and postoperative complications of medical adhesive embolization treatment.

Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to evaluate serum levels of food-specific IgG antibodies and their link to chronic symptoms in a large Chinese population of over 21,000 adults.
  • Results showed variations in IgG levels connected to gender and geographic region, with women generally having higher concentrations of these antibodies.
  • The research highlighted that demographic factors and the relation of specific IgGs to chronic symptoms should be considered before making clinical decisions about food elimination treatments based on IgG testing.

To study the effect of alpha1-acid glycoprotein 1 (ORM1) polymorphism on the concentration of free nortriptyline in serum, genotyping analysis was employed in ORM1 by sequencing. Eighteen unrelated male adults were chosen and given a single dose of 25 mg nortriptyline orally, then the blood samples were taken at 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 24, 32, 48, 72, 96 and 168 hours after drug administration. Nortriptyline and 10-OH-nortriptyline in serum and ultrafiltrate were detected for the total and free concentration by using HPLC-MS/MS.
