To bolster the capacity for managing potential infectious diseases in the future, it is critical to develop specific antiviral drugs that can be rapidly designed and delivered precisely. Herein, a CRISPR/Cas13d system for broad-spectrum targeting of influenza A virus (IAV) from human, avian, and swine sources is designed, incorporating Cas13d mRNA and a tandem CRISPR RNA (crRNA) specific for the highly conserved regions of viral polymerase acidic (PA), nucleoprotein (NP), and matrix (M) gene segments, respectively. Given that the virus targets cells with specific receptors but is not limited to a single organ, a Susceptible Cell Selective Delivery (SCSD) system is developed by modifying a lipid nanoparticle with a peptide mimicking the function of the hemagglutinin of influenza virus to target sialic acid receptors.

The 1957 H2N2 influenza pandemic virus [A(H2N2)pdm1957] has disappeared from humans since 1968, while H2N2 avian influenza viruses (AIVs) are still circulating in birds. It is necessary to reveal the recurrence risk and potential cross-species infection of these AIVs from avian to mammals. We find that H2 AIVs circulating in domestic poultry in China have genetic and antigenic differences compared to the A(H2N2)pdm1957.

Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell extracellular matrix (BMSC-ECM) can promote peripheral nerve regeneration, and microphysical orientation is essential for peripheral nerve regeneration. In this study, human-derived BMSC-ECM (hBMSC-ECM) and microchannels were introduced into chitosan-based nerve grafts (OCS/ECM) to construct dual biomimetic nerve grafts of structure and composition. Methods: In 28 insulinoma patients, the sensitivity of three types of PET/CT for localizing insulinoma was calculated according to tumor size and grade. We compared the SUVmax for different insulinoma grades and analyzed the correlation of SUVmax with Ki-67, maximum tumor diameter, and glucose metabolism indicators.
