Comparing Sonazoid contrast-enhanced ultrasound to contrast-enhanced CT and MRI for differentially diagnosing renal lesions: a prospective multicenter study.

Purpose: To evaluate the diagnostic performance of contrast-enhanced (CE) ultrasound using Sonazoid (SNZ-CEUS) by comparing with contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CE-CT) and contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (CE-MRI) for differentiating benign and malignant renal masses.

Materials And Methods: 306 consecutive patients (from 7 centers) with renal masses (40 benign tumors, 266 malignant tumors) diagnosed by both SNZ-CEUS, CE-CT or CE-MRI were enrolled between September 2020 and February 2021. The examinations were performed within 7 days, but the sequence was not fixed.

Ferroptosis, a form of cell death driven by iron-dependent lipid peroxidation, has known as one of the most significant pathological processes involved in diabetic kidney disease (DKD). Stimulator of interferon genes (STING) has been demonstrated its potential in regulating ferroptosis, but the regulatory role in DKD mice and underlying mechanisms haven't been illustrated. To elucidate whether and how STING regulates ferroptosis in DKD, we detected the influence of STING on diabetic-related ferroptosis in a diabetic model and in erastin-induced renal tubular epithelial cells (RTECs).

Interleukin 37 (IL-37), a member of the IL-1 family, is considered a suppressor of innate and adaptive immunity and, hence is a regulator of tumor immunity. However, the specific molecular mechanism and role of IL-37 in skin cancer remain unclear. Here, we report that IL-37b-transgenic mice (IL-37tg) treated with the carcinogenic 7,12-dimethylbenzoanthracene (DMBA)/12-o-tetradecylphorbol-13-acetate (TPA) exhibited enhanced skin cancer and increased tumor burden in the skin by inhibiting the function of CD103 dendritic cells (DCs).

Effects of Radiant Floor Heating Integrated with Natural Ventilation on Flow and Dispersion in a Newly Decorated Residence.

To date, few studies have been conducted on the characteristics of flow and dispersion caused by indoor radiant floor heating integrated with natural ventilation. In this study, we employed reduced-scale numerical models validated by wind-tunnel experiments to investigate the influence of radiant floor heating integrated with natural ventilation on airflow, heat transfer, and pollutant dispersion within an isolated building. The Richardson number () was specified to characterize the interaction between the inflow inertia force and the buoyancy force caused by radiant floor heating.

HIV-1 latency posts a major obstacle for HIV-1 eradication. Currently, no desirable latency reversing agents (LRAs) have been implicated in the "Shock and Kill" strategy to mobilize the latently infected cells to be susceptible for clearance by immune responses. Identification of key cellular pathways that modulate HIV-1 latency helps to develop efficient LRAs.

[Lycopene combined with quercetin and curcumin for chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome in rats: Effect and mechanism].

Objective: To study the therapeutic effect of lycopene combined with quercetin and curcumin on chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CP/CPPS) in rats and its underlying mechanism.

Methods: Thirty-three 6-week-old SD male rats were randomly divided into six groups: normal control (n = 3), CP/CPPS model control (n = 6), quercetin (n= 6), curcumin (n = 6), lycopene (n = 6) and combination therapy (n = 6). CP/CPPS was induced by injection of complete Freund's adjuvant into the ventral lobe of the prostate in the latter five groups of rats.

Huaier granule prevents the recurrence of early-stage hepatocellular carcinoma after thermal ablation: A cohort study.

Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Clinical trials have demonstrated that Trametes robinophila Murr (Huaier granule) can inhibit recurrence and metastasis after hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) resection, but its efficacy as an adjuvant therapy after thermal ablation of early HCC is unknown.

Aim Of The Study: To analyze the prognostic value and side effects of Huaier granules in HCC patients undergoing thermal ablation.

Materials And Methods: Clinical information from 340 eligible subjects with early-stage HCC who were admitted to our department from September 1, 2008 to January 1, 2019 was extracted from the electronic medical record database.

During lactation, goat milk contains colostrum, transitional milk, mature milk, and end milk. The protein present in goat milk during different lactation periods has different characteristics. This study aimed to characterize the protein profile of goat milk samples obtained at different lactation stages and to identify changes in the physicochemical and functional properties of whey protein and casein from goat milk collected at 1, 3, 15, 100, and 200 d after calving.

[Effects of biochar addition on soil moisture infiltration process of the yellow soil in Karst area].

To investigate the effects of biochar addition on soil moisture infiltration characteristics of sloping farmland in Karst area, we used soil column simulation to study the variation characteristics of cumulative infiltration volume, infiltration rate, and wetting peak process under the different biochar addition amount (0, 1% and 2%) and different particle sizes (<0.25, 0.25-1 and >1 mm), and simulated the infiltration process in yellow soil on slope farmland.

As a newly discovered pro-resolving lipid mediator, maresin 1 (MaR1) could exert powerful inflammatory resolution, neuroprotection, and analgesic activities. In the present research, the analgesic effect of MaR1 was observed.

[Application of Endo-GIA stapler in laparoscopic radicalcystectomy].

To explore the application of Endo-GIA stapler in laparoscopic radical cystectomy, especially in the treatment of lateral bladder ligament, and to evaluate its clinical feasibility and practicability. A retrospective analysis of clinical data about 38 cases of laparoscopic radical cystectomy (LRC) treated in the Department of Urology, Chaoyang Hospital of Beijing and Cancer Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences from July 2017 to June 2019 were conducted. The patients were divided into Endo-GIA stopler group(18 cases) and non-Endo-GIA stopler group (20 cases) according to whether Endo-GIA stapler were used.
